“If you want a quiet slice of VA/Potomac waterfront, this is the place.”

“Great place, super cute and walking distance to everything. Host was great!”

“This was my first VRBO experience and I loved how easy it was. The cottage is rustic and simple but that’s exactly what I was looking for. I ended up not making it to the winery, but it was an easy drive into Colonial Beach and over to George Washington’s birthplace. And a cozy place to curl up and read during the afternoon thunderstorm!”

“My family and I had a great time at this property fishing and crabbing. We also did a day trip to Westmoreland State Park, where we got to hike to Fossils Beach.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this lake house. The view is beautiful and the house is beautifully decorated and kid friendly. Just a really charming place to stay for a family vacation.”

“Beautiful home, very clean and comfy ”

“House was very nice and very private. The location is tucked away from Colonial Beach, but just a short drive away for a visit. The kayaks and the water were a favorite for my kids. The kitchen was FULLY stocked with all of the tools we needed and that was a very nice touch. It was easy to get settled and provided plenty of space for our family.”

“Property is exactly as described. We had a great week fishing and crabbing on the dock and even on the 2 days it rained, the house was so comfortable for chilling and watching movies. This house was well stocked with everything you would need. We forgot our Old Bay for the crabs but there was some already for us! Kelly and Thomas responded quickly to a couple of questions we had and made check in and out simple. My only suggestion would be to put window treatments on the windows in the……

“This property is absolutely beautiful! The private beach is what sold us. Unfortunately we couldnt swim due to massive amount of jelly fish expecially on our first day. The following day, there wasn't as many but all got stung when we tried to swim. This is not the owners fault, definitely something I wish I knew could happen before booking as this is the main reason we wanted to stay here to swim and use the beach. We made the best of our trip using kayaks and playing games. They have a nice……

“This really was immaculate and a really wonderful place to stay. An outstanding kitchen with modern appliances and an excellent induction cook top with a wide variety of pans and cookware that enabled us to cook just as we would at home, peaceful, spacious with a lovely view out from the back deck. Simply couldn't have asked for more”

“Very cute..but very tiny and super dated. Duplex. Not entire house to self. ..through a door is other people....noise Porch, yard firepit and views great! Steps to house steep. No handrails. Careful. No access to beach....all grown up grass weeds trees.. No deck/dock as described on property.pic is next door... Very disappointed. Water pressure in sink very very low. No kitchen. Didnt state it did. But just beware . The views. Quit was nice. But thats bout it . .”

“Enjoyed our visit to Colonial Beach. Rented a golf cart for getting around town; highly recommend this method of transportation. Lovely view from the condo and easy access to the boardwalk, restaurants and bars. However, plan accordingly for the late-night, weekend live music next door at Tiki Hut.Spent an afternoon at the pool, which is not on-site. But with the golf cart, it was an easy, short commute.”

“Perfect place. Just what i was looking. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay close to the MIR track for any event”

“The house was spotless, boasting a fantastic location with gorgeous water views and a peaceful, away-from-it-all vibe. Unfortunately, communication was an issue; it was difficult to reach the host for check-in instructions. Providing these details proactively before arrival would greatly improve the guest experience”

“A beautiful home in a quiet area along the waterfront. Owner was responsive immediately when we had questions. Definitely look forward to coming back!”

“This is a wonderful place to stay! It is very large and comfortable. The views of the Patuxent are jaw-dropping. The kitchen is big, beautiful, and well stocked with everything you could ever need. The house is spotlessly clean. We spent almost our entire stay on the deck, eating meals at the large outdoor table. We did have a small issue but it was quickly and efficiently remedied by the owner, who was just great about communication. We loved it.”
