The ruins are part of the royal palace that was built sometime between 1351-1369. The ruins are very awesome to see but people do not pay much attention to signs about not climbing on them - but no one enforces the rules either. Sad to see such old architecture being disrespected by someone trying to take a perfect selfie.

The property is beautifully landscaped, featuring stunning traditional Thai architecture and a peaceful location right on the river. The staff are wonderful, and the manager was especially helpful in arranging cars and tuk tuks for our tours and offering great local tips. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Awesome Hotel

We had a great stay. Really nice hotel. The nicest people. We had the room with a private bathroom. AC worked great. It's a really cool, family-run hotel, a quick drive from all of the old temples.

Stayed here over night and enjoyed it fully! Great Thai style rooms and suits right on the bank of a river. Thai massage, tuk-tuk rides, boat tour and bikes for rent are all available I highly recommend this place!

Enjoyable riverside stay

Clean, quiet and homey stay at riverside. Staffs were also very polite and friendly. May be the shower water pressure could be a little better but not a problem at all. Loved our stay there and will definitely be back again.

This was a unique experience and we loved it. The hosts are so nice and helpful. The shared homecooked breakfasts are fun and were amazing. The rooms are large and beautiful. Wished we had more time to just hang out at the homestay, as it's very relaxing there and lots of room to enjoy the birds and river.

Comfortable and clean

The property and my room are clean and tidy. Not a lot of options for breakfast but it's sufficient and taste good. It's located by the river, pretty relaxing atmosphere.

Staying at Athithara Homestay in Ayutthaya was an amazing experience. The place is incredibly peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully designed in traditional Thai style. From the moment I walked into my room, called 'Pasuk Room' in Thai, I was welcomed by a delightful aromatherapy scent that made me feel instantly at ease. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly kind and made me feel like I was visiting family. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, truly a home away from home. And the breakfast—absolutely delicious! I wish I could have eaten more! This homestay gave me the perfect vacation experience, and I would love to return. Highly recommended!

Traditional Thai Hotel

Athitara Homestay is built entirely of wood, on stilts near the river, it's very traditional in style and allows you to spend an evening as if you were staying with a Thai family.

Really nice place to recommend

Really nice and cheap guesthouse in a quiet neighbourhood. The traditional wooden thaï house is beautiful and clean, a perfect touch of exoticism by the river. Staff really friendly and helpful, you can also rent bikes to visit the most interesting places in Ayutthaya.
