「We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 12. We visited in March and it was very quiet/serene. Portovella has a beautiful view of the Douro. Riverside walk is just several steps down a hill. Photos don’t do it justice because it is so breathtaking in person. The comfort suite was the perfect size with 2 bathroom ensuites and a powder room. View from the suite was incredible. Please note that the only way to get there is by car and the most convenient option is to take advantage of the dinner offered. 「Ontzettend gastvriendelijke guesthouse gelegen in een fantastisch mooi natuurgebied. De tuin is een sprookje en de eigenaren doen er alles aan om het je naar het zin te maken. Ontbijt super. Kamers schoon en netjes met moderne badkamer en grote bedden.」

「I was never able to get to the hotel due to road closures caused by flooding in the area. The hotel never communicated to me via any means before hand. I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark. We were lucky to eventually drive out of the scary dangerous roads. A refund request was denied by the hotel. While I understand the policy, I don’t understand why the hotel never...
