“We enjoyed our stay. The only thing which could be improved would be the adress. The street was easy to find however the house number was R. da Suavinha 216 and not 220 as in our confirmation.”

“We hebben een hele fijne week gehad in een comfortabel en sfeervol huis. Royaal verblijf op groot perceel grond, prachtige bosrijke en zeer rustige omgeving. Douro ligt ongeveer 500 meter lager, vanuit huis niet zichtbaar. Van zwembad geen gebruik gemaakt, omdat het een behoorlijk stuk afdalen en klimmen was. Dourovallei is prachtig. Veel moois in de omgeving te zien. Auto is een must.”

“The location of this villa is ideal if you want to separate yourselves from crowds and drink in nature and peaceful views. An absolutely perfect setting to gather with friends or family and enjoy leisurely meals while overlooking a beautiful valley. I highly recommend this place and the host. The host is quick to communicate and was a gracious host the five days we were there. Unobtrusive and but helpful. If you get that chance to stay here, do! You won't regret it.”

His house was absolutely beautiful, and he greeted us upon our arrival to show us around the property. The pool.ans outdoor area was great though the weather was bad during our stay so we didn't get to use it.. easy drive to Porto too! The only thing we found was the listing says spa pool and fitness centre which must be a mistake as there is not either of those available a this house.”

“This is an amazing house on an amazing property. The house is well appointed and spacious. The pool is enormous, and overlooks the river. We enjoyed watching the tour boats go up and down the river, and passing the goats and chickens on the road. The host has made it very comfortable. The only downside is it is an extremely twisty and steep road down to the house. But totally worth it for the serenity upon arrival.”

Not only did they help us plan our itinerary they went so far as to meet us at the train station several times to make sure we were heading in the right direction. Their graciousness and hospitality will remain with us forever. And then the property itself. The restoration of a family property since 1680 was stunning. Magnificent……

“Muy linda la propiedad pero me pareció que todo los precios estaban exorbitantemente caros y no hay ninguna actividad cerca. Nos hubiera gustado hacer el tour en barco, pero costaba como 850 euros un viaje corto por el río en el bote pequeño y1500 en el bote más moderno. No entendí los precios.”

“Views are beautiful!!! My recommendation to property: fix the elevators. A lot of the elevator buttons don’t work. Saw multiple people confused about the elevator because some buttons don’t light up. One of my pillows had a yellow stain on it. It was clean but the stain was unpleasant. Discard it if bleach does not remove a stain. The service at breakfast could be improved upon. They were out of a lot of items. Also, there was a massive line to get coffee.
