"Thought I was getting the entire house viewing all the pictures that was not the case. It was a shared upstairs and downstairs. Vrbo charged an exorbitant amount of money for their fees and then at the end got charged some fee for a tax for Newport Beach. Not sure what that is but not happy about it."

"Sadly, this property is misrepresented on VRBO. It states that it is an “entire home”, but the reality is that it is a self contained upstairs unit in the owners home. The patio in the first cover photo is a patio outside the owner’s kitchen/living area which is in use by them so it is not at all a private space (which the use of the term “entire home” would indicate). The Duffy boat (which is the main attraction of the property) runs on electric, but the gauge is stuck on “charging” and I’d advise clicking on the worst reviews to read the consequences of this, so we were anxious about using it. The advert says the property is “beachfront - enjoy direct access to the sand and sea” but it is a few blocks from the beach and sand. There are no windows water facing. There was a power cut x2 when tried to use the toaster. The amenities list a “washer/dryer in garage” but it should really say “access to owner’s washer/dryer in owners garage downstairs”. The bed sheets of the sofa bed were stained and not changed from previous user. The photo of the bbq with the neighbours’ garden must be historic as the view is very different now. Theowners are lovely and hospitable, but the fact remains that the property is misrepresented. These aspects, like the lack of privacy, might not be a concern to some, hence the generally good reviews but had it been accurately advertised then one would have had the choice after being fully informed. I personally wouldn’t have booked it with my children."

"Fabulous place. Wonderful time for our sisters’ celebration. Surprisingly quiet, given the beach location in summertime. Well thought out, air conditioning, a plus. Though we did not need it. One of my sisters already recommended to a friend. Shout out to Rich for the most personalized and energetic welcome I’ve ever received! Nicely upgraded primary shower; spotless and neat."

"The property is situated very close to the beach-with no crossing over busy streets which is always a plus. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Washer and dryer in unit for our personal use was a plus. Two parking spaces another plus. The cleaners were a little delayed for our check in time but Darcy was very communicative and we were able to drop off groceries and come back when the unit was ready just a short time later. Darcy was very accommodating and you can tell she cares about her guests."
