Nice setting and looking hotel

Room was very spacious, although noise travelled through the hotel so you could hear people talking when downstairs. Air conditioning leaked all over the floor and was extremely noisy. Pool and leisure area looked nice .

This an exceptional place that we recommend very vividly. We spent a beautiful 4 days with two teenagers. The pool made them happy and it was a perfect base for visiting the Castles of the Loire, quite close to Chenonceau, Villandry, Amboise and Azay-le-Rideau among others. The staff is also very nice and accommodating, they started writing to us a few days before our arrival to make sure it went smoothly. Only great things to say about this place!

We didn't swim... too cold. A large group (like a seminar) had pretty much taken over the hot tub so we didn't get a chance to use it. That was the only disappointment. The grounds are amazingly beautiful with

This is an amazing place to stay - beautiful grounds with flowers, trees and well-tended lawns, a wonderful pool, and clean comfortable accomodations. We rented a 2-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and dining space - it was quiet and very private, with a patio in front and back, and just steps to the pool. The whole property feels very private and luxurious but is not at all stuffy or formal. Among the very best hotels we've stayed in anywhere in the world.

Perfect

Such a great place to stay! The grounds are perfect, the Chateau and Suites are gorgeous, and the service is top notch. The most perfect place for families to stay while exploring the Loire region and all of the Chateaus and wineries. Our kids loved the grounds and had a great time!

This is an elegant retreat with top of the line everything. We loved the pool area and grounds especially, but the room is also wonderful. It has the distinction of being kid friendly while also being truly elegant and luxurious. We will definitely be back.

All in all, nice property. The staff was very nice and helpful. It’s quite out of the way so prepare to have a car or use taxi/Bolt. Don’t rely on their quotes for transport, far too expensive!

Pastoral splendor

The photos do not deceive; the pool is as beautiful and refreshing as pictured. The limited number of guest suites (16 total) arranged around the property allow for a sense of privacy. In fact, we enjoyed the pool and balcony lounge area entirely to ourselves on a warm sunny day! Adding to the aesthetic? Breakfast -enough for two meals-served to your suite in a picnic basket, manicured gardens, and a small orchard. Completing this bucolic picture was a large white rabbit who has his run of the place. A previous guest had left a copy of Colm Tobin’s latest novel, “Long Island” in the room…a serendipitous choice for me! The only drawback is our lack of a car. There was ample parking, but we had to UBER into town for our evening meals (a bit pricey but the drivers were always cheerful!) A lovely respite for those wanting a rest or for anyone looking to surround themselves with beauty…or water from a pristine pool!

No soap in the whole hotel????

The positives :- On check in, the receptionist offered to help with bags. We were in the Macha room, on the second floor.The bedroom is large, beautiful, with a large tv and a nice bathroom. Negatives : - We were appalled that there was no soap on the washbasin. I had to climb into the large shower to use shower gel, to find that there was no shower gel either! We called the receptionist to the room and she said that they had forgotten to buy soap! There were two receptionists on duty, surely one could have popped to the supermarket about 5 minutes away? A man came and filled up the shower gel. The bathroom curtain was hanging off the rail. The old chair in the bedroom was broken. I wonder if this was the same chair someone previously mentioned in a review?? Breakfast is E14 each and brought to the room in a basket. From pictures I have seen, this is very expensive and no value for money. We could hear every noise from room upstairs. Moving furniture, tv on until 0230hrs, every time they turned on a tap, a loud gurgling noise from the pipe across the ceiling of our room. Kettle didn't fit under the tap, coffee machine but no milk, mini bar empty but fridge useful if it worked! Dusty lamp, cup marks on bedside table. Fridge/mini bar didn't get cold even when switched on. Need to physically lock door on inside and leave key in in case of fire. Mainly small housekeeping issues which should have been addressed before guest arrival. Would not stay here again!!
