「We had a great experience with Dawson Inn. The room was exceptionally clean and smelled fresh. The Manager, Lisa, was very friendly. There is a gas station and small store next to the hotel where we purchased made-to-order sandwiches and water on our way to the New River Gorge National Park. The hotel is 15 min away from the Sandstone Falls Visitor's Center. The price is right and a gem for those visiting the area or just passing through.」

「We had a flat tire around 2pm on route neat Columbia. Called the site and they said no refunds since the hotel was booked on Expedia. Finally after many attempts to contact Expedia customer “service”…they said the would contact site and approve a refund but then said the site was not answering phone and closed the file. Do better.」

「Room was relatively clean, but updated linens are needed there was a hole in the sheet. Also checking in the lady didn't know what she was doing kept having to re-enter info and my debit card, I asked if it would show more than once she said no. Of course it did, upon checking out I explained and was told by a tearful lady who was more worried about a personal phone call that she couldn't do anything, I would need to speak to manager tomorrow, when I'm 5 hours away. 「I was on the ground floor and could hear every step in the room above including the floor and ceiling creaking with every step. I do not normally complain, but when you guys give a property a “good” rating and that doesn’t match the experience at all, that’s concerning. 」

「The first room was not cleaned and had to change rooms that room the key wouldn’t work so we had to change again and in that room the tv would not work and there was one wash rag pretty bad in the morning went to check out and no one around I walked around looking but no one so I left the card key on the counter and left.
