Incredible stay!

Just wrapped up a 6 night stay with a group of 7. The place is incredible! If you could even imagine, the pictures don’t do it justice! The views and the sound of the waves are just amazing, especially when you’re floating in the beautiful pool watching them. The place is easy to get here, the house is gorgeous, all accommodations are very comfortable and spacious. There are a few regular iguanas that hangout by the pool which were so fun to see. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

Unbelievable!

We have traveled a lot around the world and this is the most beautiful villa we ever stayed in! The location can't be beat. The amenities are fabulous. You drive down a VERY steep driveway and in a few minutes you are at the beach and shops. It's not really walkable. The view can't be beat anywhere. We saw and heard the waves all day. Amazing!

Beautiful Home in Paradise

This is an amazing vacation home for your group. All of the communication was timely and concise before our arrival, including a video on where to turn from the highway, accessing the gate, all the way up to the entrance. Accommodations: beds were very comfortable and turning on the AC at night really made for a comfortable sleep. The pool was a necessity for the hot days and we all used it multiple times from morning til night, kitchen and outdoor grill accessories were plentiful for meals and dishwasher worked perfect. Loved the shower pressure too. Location: outstanding view of the ocean. I was a little concerned by the proximity to the highway but there was little to no traffic noise. You could access the beach quickly and a 4-5 min drive to Dominical or 15-20 for the supermarket in Uvita. We will be back to rent again. Thanks for the great stay!

Great communication from Monica prior to our arrival.The house was all we expected it to be - super clean, laid out perfectly for multiple couples, the kitchen had everything you could want, and the location is perfect.3 couples enjoyed 10 days at the house, and it's situated where every night we had the perfect sunset (from the pool no less!) The pool guy came twice while we were there to make sure everything was good (cleaned pool, checked pH levels, etc)The kitchen was perfect! We prepared breakfast and dinner at the house almost every day (ate lunch out), at the table on the patio. There is a BM Supermarket about 3 minutes from the house and they have everything you could possibly need.The property is in a gated community and there was never a time we didn't feel safe. I saw a couple of old comments about safety and all I will say about that is they clearly didn't use the security features the owner has provided.From the porch/pool you will see Tucan's, Iguana's and Agouti's...hint, if you feed them banana's they will come every day. We also saw an anteater and a black squirrel.Downtown Dominical is 5 minutes away (gorgeous with plenty of great restaurants and shopping - and a tour company we did three tours with). Uvita is about 15-20 minutes south (don't miss the Whale's Tail!)I could go on forever, but if you are considering the Dominical/Uvita area, this is THE house!!

Perfect location with amazing privacy

We only had two couples in this home, but would have easily been just as happy with all four bedrooms utilized, as the space outdoors and in the main living areas are wonderful! The privacy is up and beyond anything we have ever experienced on a tropical vacation. We will definitely be returning with our children next year!

Wonderful Vacation!!

Our extend family of seven had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful. The four bedrooms each with a private bath are the perfect set up for an extended family or large group. The pool area and view are amazing. Todd the owner, and Marlon, the house manager we both great to work with. They offered lots of great information and were very quick to reply to all our our questions.

Fantastic week

Wonderful property. 4 couples stayed for a week. Marlon provided great services including arranging a sunset cruise and chef services for an evening meal of mahi-mahi and beef tenderloin for one party member. Close to Quepos(great fishing, caught 5 sailfish) and close to Uvita. Plenty of recreational activities available. The pool area was perfect for lazy days. Loved every minute of it and would love to return.

Villa View!!!

We had an incredible stay at Villa Alegria! Very spacious, private bedrooms with ensuites, incredible ocean view in a quiet location, a short jaunt down to an amazing secluded beach (with a good exercise on the way back up)! Marlon, our concierge was quick to respond and offer suggestions and contacts. Playa Dominical was a great place to learn to surf and we enjoyed cooking fresh fish on the BBQ from a local vendor! We were very blessed to relax in this beautiful place with special friends!!! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing!

My family and 6 of our friends stayed Jan 12-19 for our daughter's 30th birthday celebration! From the moment we walked in it was magical! From the flowers and towels in the rooms to the most spectacular views out of every door and window. Marlon had the grocery supplies I had asked for in the house when we arrived. He was always just a text message away with any questions or problems and with suggestions for tours and adventures. We hope to come back soon! Thank you Todd and Marlon for your hospitality!

Dominical adventure

We had a wonderful week at the Villa. We found it exactly as advertised in other 5 star reviews. This area is very peaceful and scenic. We had a wonderful adventures white water rafting with Rafiki Safari, zip lining in Osa, enjoying the beach at Manuel Antonio and horseback riding in Playa Hermosa. Local restaurants in Dominical, Uvita and Quepos are ideal! The care taker and owner are extremely responsive to inquires. There were no apparent security problems with the home as had been outlined in a December 2015 review. The villa and general area are very tourist friendly.

The house, furniture and beds are fantastic.With the pool at your steps 24 hours available looking to the Pacific ocean was a relaxing experience. A 4x4 vehicle is a must to get to the house ,do not try in a 2x2 car...... I recomment this house to have a great time. I will go back soon. Our second time at this property - it's still great!

Stayed for a week at the end of January 2018 - coming back after a 2017 visit at the same time. Two couples and three teen-aged siblings had a great time. Marlon (the property manger) is fantastic. Dominical is just a couple minutes away and has a relaxed vibe that we enjoy. Property has many security features that we used despite seeing no evidence of crime at the house or anywhere nearby. The locals we met were all very nice and seemed to have a genuine interest in helping us have a fun vacation. The pool is great - we kicked off every evening with cocktails to watch the sun set over the distant Pacific horizon. This place is a relaxing warm mid-winter getaway spot.

Great vacation spot

Two families of four stayed here for a week and fit comfortably. The location is easy to get to, the views are spectacular, the house was clean and the pool was clean. The kitchen could use a little upgrade (broken knob or two), refrigerator door opens when you close the freezer (be careful). But minor inconveniences for a rental house. Iguanas walking around, easy access to the beach across the highway in the Roca Verde parking entrance, very close to Dominical. The nearby waterfall was awesome, a bit of a workout for the amateur, but horses and car tours are available. Manuel Antonio is a nice area and only 30 minutes away. The owner Todd responds quickly to messages making it easy to book. Had a great time. Would totally recommend for groups and families.

Great home with space for everyone

We had a great time here. The pros: en-suites in each bedroom, good internet connection, close to dominical and easy access to sites, ample seating outside, the pool was perfect. The view is amazing. We hired a chef to do breakfast every morning, it was a great start to the day. The property is obviously well-managed and cared for. Communication was easy and the property manager was responsive. The cons: wow, the hill to the house was steep, my sister definitely had to brush up on her stick driving skills. The beach within walking distance is wonderful and secluded - but beware there are of course no life guards. The seating in the main living area could be better. It echos and there is no AC in that space. The extra fees for more than 10 people was not clear in the listing. The daybeds were sufficient but a little short for adults. We would definitely stay here again. I’m fact, we are in process of choosing a date next year. Overall a great property in the perfect location.

Our group of 4 couples stayed for 9 nights late in January. The weather was perfect every day - upper 80s, not too humid, bright sun and no rain. The house is very nice, and the layout provided great common areas for us to enjoy, as well as private bedroom suites for everyone to resort to. The pool and deck are awesome - we enjoyed a lot of time here, and the sunsets are great from this vantage point. The driveway is steep, but it's paved and in good condition. We had a couple of minor issues with the house during our stay which Marlon quickly addressed. We were very pleased with the level of service and attention he provided. We loved the area. Dominical and Uvita both have a relaxed vibe - everyone we met seemed happy to see us and helpful. The beaches are beautiful - during the week they are nearly deserted, with a few more locals on the weekends. Prices for everything were reasonable. We used the window bars and locks as Marlon suggested - we didn't experience any crime, and didn't see anyone who appeared threatening - actually, we experienced quite the opposite - the people we saw were pleasant and generous. We loved this place!

Amazing place!

My husband and I have been to Costa Rica before and decided to come back this time with three other couples. We had such an amazing stay! The photos definitely don't do the place justice. We were so surprised to show up to such a beautiful, clean, secure home. The bedrooms are all enormous, with private baths and air conditioning in each. Every morning we woke up fairly early to make coffee and read either on our private deck or lower deck, both with the most incredible view I've seen of the country! We spent hours in the pool each afternoon and had plenty of restaurants nearby to walk to for dinner. We met a great masseuse named Steve (originally from the US) who came to our home and have us private 60-minute massages. The staff at Roca Verde restaurant can help you get in touch with him. The only challenge to staying at this house is the road up to the home. It's incredibly steep, which was totally fine for our group in our 20's and 30's, but for someone who would have trouble, you're going to want to make sure and rent a car for the week. But the beach at the bottom is beautiful and well worth the walk. There are surf, scuba, and boat rentals... and plenty of restaurants to grab a bite while you're down there. Probably best of all, the house manager, Marlon, is available at all hours to help with anything you might need. He helped us arrange transportation from the airport and met us when we arrived to show us around. We can't say enough about this home and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing or adventurous stay in Costa Rica!

Perfection in paradise!!

This is the third time in Costa Rica for my wife and I. This time, however, we brought the in-laws, nephews, and anyone willing to come. There were 9 of us and Villa Allegria was perfection. 10 days of large accomodating bedrooms within a spacious home. Each room with it's own ensuite, that was tastefully finished, and just a pleasure to use. Each room had it's own balcony/deck access, with a stunning view. The house is literally 5 minutes walking to the beach. This is an amazing feature as everyday we were able to enjoy our hour and a half walks at the break of dawn before the sun was out in full force. We have always come to the Dominical area, and it is fantastic with amazing beaches, no too many tourists, and incredibly friendly and laid back locals. Marlon, the manager, was on sight when we arrived, even with our delayed flight of several hours. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and was always willing to help us arrange our day trips. The owner, Todd, was always available to keep in touch with, and also made sure that our stay was perfect. He was even able to help my parents arrange a delivery of flowers and fruit in chocolate on my wife's and mother in laws birthdays. No easy feat considering the addressing and sometimes treacherous driving in Costa Rica. This house was amazing. The pool was spotless and always ready to use. The house had a great layout and was super conducive to everyone gathering together for meal time or evening drinks and games, while at the same time allowing for all couples to retreat to their own corner rooms for rest and comfortable privacy. Todd even arranged for 10 days of nothing but blue skies and 30 C weather. This vacation was one of the best we have ever had as a family and it was made this way in no small part thanks to Villa Allegria. Thanks Todd and Marlon, Pura Vida Pawel

Amazing views!

This home was a perfect set up for our multi family vacation. Four private suites with outdoor access or balconies, exceptional views, infinity pool, large deck, with hammock, expansive ocean views, close proximity to Restaurants and surfing in Dominical and other nearby activities, all made for an unforgettable vacation! Although it is walking distance to the ocean, there is no clear path, extremely steep path and a highway in between. We ate out a lot (fairly inexpensive) as we discovered that the kitchen was lacking in supplies and only had a toaster oven and microwave, no full sized oven. In short, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this home to others.
