“It’s a real shame to feel a need to leave a negative review as this. I can honestly say that this is the first negative review we have ever left for a hotel so it is not something that we find joy in doing. “We had a lovely stay at Ella Retreat. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and included a fridge, kettle, little cooktop and kitchen sink which was handy. “No aircon in room but fan more than adequate. Hari, the manager is a one man show. He cooks a sumptuous breakfast for 1500 LKR and can do your laundry for a very reasonable price. Hari is a very caring person who goes the extra yard for his guests.”
