"We booked this cabin in Banner Elk last summer after seeing it online and we were able to drive by it last year to double check its location. When we checked in things were as advertised. We spent many evening hours on the deck overlooking a valley which contains a Mill Pond and waterfalls, which serenaded us and a few guests who came to dinner. Our thirty-day stay turned out to be the perfect about of time. Our labrador appreciated the location almost as much as we did. It is right on the campus of Lees-McRae college. Many walks around the campus were special. The 4th of July parade in Banner Elk assembles on a street right by the cabin, so we were able to walk over to watch the parade. The cabin is well equipped, close to everything in Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing rock. We are thinking about going back next year. "

"The cabin was perfect for our group of 11, age range from 1-58 years. We especially enjoyed mornings on the balcony with a gorgeous view and evening down by the fire pit. Because of it's location, there is a long winding road to get up to the cabin and back down to go into town where the shopping and restaurants are located. We were really looking forward to the master tub with jets and the hot tub, but both were out of commission. They did not notify us until our arrival day. However, they quickly and professionally responded to my phone calls and emails about that situation. They had ordered parts, but did not receive them before our departure. The management team reached out to me and made an offer to rectify things. We will definitely consider Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals in the future and we would love to visit Sugar Mountain again on the winter!"
