Douro ligt ongeveer 500 meter lager, vanuit huis niet zichtbaar. Van zwembad geen gebruik gemaakt, omdat het een behoorlijk stuk afdalen en klimmen was. Dourovallei is prachtig. Veel moois in de omgeving te zien. Auto is een must.”

I was hunting for a place that was really special and close enough to Porto, about 1 hour, but away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. We were 4 adults traveling for a week. “The house was beautiful,magical,homey and the views from the pool and pergola were absolutely breathtaking. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Especially for Paula our very talented and kind chef who came to cook for us on 2 occasions If I could give a 6 star I would as Victor the owner just couldn’t do enough for us. He was there when we needed him for restaurant recommendations, directions for the hiking path, cab bookings and kind enough to fix the coffee……

“Very good communication with hosts, who also provided dining recommendations in the area. A family member of the host is also a local tour guide, which could be beneficial for you. This unit is spacious, clean and modern with river views and balcony access from every room, including all 3 bedrooms. Climate control units in every bedroom and living room as well. Easy street parking right in front of the building, and a supermarket nearby that is walkable distance. Pet friendly also. I would stay……
