Villa With Private Pool & Mountain Views

The villa is situated in a beautiful valley region known as La Safor. The nearby mountain village, called Barx, is less than a kilometre down the road. Barx has 2 supermarkets which sell all the essentials, 3 butchers, 2 bakeries, 5 bars, two excellent restaurants, a pharmacy, a bricabrac shop, and electrical goods shop, two hairdressers, a bank and a doctor’s surgery. There is a market in the village square on Tuesday mornings, selling clothes, plants, ceramics, sweets and fresh fish. A short 20 minute drive trough orange groves and glorious mountain scenery brings you to the golden sandy beaches of the Costa del Azahar. This little known corner of Spain has wonderful beaches and has the advantage of being off the main busy tourist routes. The town of Gandia is a 15 minutes drive from the villa. The elegant city of Valencia is about 50 minutes by car and train.

This is such a lovely villa in an excellent location with stunning views and walks in the hills. Access to Gandia beach and València are easy and quite quick so a car is essential. The property is lovely and spacious and the fans in the bedrooms are really good. The outside space and pool are brilliant and clean and tidy. The kitchen is tidy and had most of the essential items but could do with a few more of the basicsOverall a really lovely property that we would recommend to anyone.

Pleasant stay in Barx - would recommend a visit

Me and my family stayed a week in the accomodation and we loved it. We would defenitly recommend a visit!Pro's:- Carmen is really friendly and the communication is good- The house is well-equiped (pool, terrace, washing machine, etc.)- The view of the mountains is stunning- ...Cons:- The house has no airconditioning so you need to do some heath managment. There are ventilators though- A lot of mosquitos so come prepared

Great house in good spot

Lovely house, spacious and comfortable. Some equipment, like coffee machine, pool, shower heads may need a bit of maintenance .. we sorted a couple of these. But owners very helpful when we broke a mirror. Table tennis was a wonderful addition.. but all bats were broken.. we bought balls to help out. View from house are incredible and garden is nicely maintained.

Ons verblijf in het huis was heel aangenaam. De vader van Carmen heeft ons goed ontvangen ondanks dat er een taalbarrière was en bij problemen kwam hij zeer snel om ons te helpen. Er zijn geen airco's maar de ventilators aan het plafond deden hun werk goed. We brachten onze tijd tijdens het verblijf voornamelijk buiten door. Het is er warm genoeg tot 's avonds. Het huis is gelegen in een heel rustige woonwijk waar je af en toe wel geblaf hoort van vele honden, maar dit stoorde niet. Van toestellen was alles voorzien. Je moet zelf wel zorgen voor de benodigdheden (wasmiddel, afwasmiddel, kruiden, koffie,..). Er zijn voldoende schaduwplekken die je door de dag kan opzoeken door middel van luifels en parasols. Een tip: als je 's nachts met de auto nog een stadje bezoekt pas dan op voor overstekende everzwijnen. De wegen buiten de stad zijn niet verlicht en je ziet ze niet aankomen. Wij konden er één helaas niet meer ontwijken waardoor we onze auto hebben moeten omruilen. Breng zeker ook muggenzalf mee voor de vele muggen die er op je zitten te wachten ;-).

Family holiday

Absolutely loved villa. Carmen was always happy to help and her lovely dad always looked after the pool in the morning to make sure he is not in the way. I do recommend this place 100% and hope me and my family will be back.

Very nice house with great pool

We enjoyed our time in this house very much. Especially the pool was relaxing for us and especially for the children. The owner has taken care of the pool every 2-3 days. The kitchen is fully equipped. Missing things were promptly purchased new by the owner. The existing table tennis table we have not used. The house has fans in the bedrooms, which were sufficient for cooling down at night. The house is located in Barx and the next larger town Gandia is about 20 minutes by car. In Gandia is among other things a Lidl and a Carrfour supermarket. The Starnd is in Gandia very already and clean. However, one thing we would still have as a suggestion: This house should not be called a new villa.

Beautiful pool and mountain setting

We had a lovely stay with breakfasts on the terrace enjoying the mountainous views and afternoon swims in the beautiful pool. The house has everything you would need such as a washing machine, fridge and microwave. A car is essential to travel round to the lovely villages and towns nearby. Highly recommended!

Great week

We had a great week in the house. The rooms and bathrooms are as described. We chose this property because of its location and outside living space. A quite village with great views of the hills/terrain. We didn’t spend much time inside, we lived outside on the terrace. The kitchen has what you need to get by, but could use a few more wineglasses and a new cooking pan ;) Otherwise we had a perfect week. Carmen is easy to communicate with and her dad helped out with the practical stuff. Thank you for a great week in Spain.

Lovely Villa

The villa is beautiful, maintained very well, in a wonderful location, and is very much as described. The pool was lovely. Carmen and her Dad looked after us very well. The area is lovely and quiet, and everyone who we encountered were so very friendly. The only downside for us was that the village of Barx, which is in the description as having a selection of restaurants, when we visited in the first week in September, it didn’t have any open, never found out if this a permanent thing or something seasonal but it was a bit disappointing. We always enjoy our villa holidays because of the freedom it gives us but we do like to have something close by just to get out for a meal now and again. We did visit Restaurante Parpalllo a couple of times which is a short walk from the villa ,both the food and service were very good, and again very friendly, but it was only open on some afternoons and not in the evening at all. Saying that we did have a lovely holiday and the hospitality shown by the people of the Valencia area was fantastic. I would love to return to the area again and would return to this lovely villa

La casa es tal cual el anuncio, estaba todo muy limpio y muy bien cuidado. La zona de la terraza, piscina y bbq la disfrutamos mucho. En plena ola de calor no nos hizo falta el aire acondicionado en ningún momento. Los dueños muy atentos. Sin duda lo recomendamos y si volvemos por la zona intentaremos repetir.

Villa with Mountain Views

The villa is lovely and spacious but the views are amazing! It’s in a residential area that feels really safe. There is plenty of outdoor space for everyone to enjoy. The pool is a great size - steps at the shallow end and a 2 metre deep end. The mosquitoes come out at night so do remember to bring repellent. We walked to the village a couple of times for freshly baked bread. There’s plenty going on in Gandia especially near the port/prom/beach area. and there are lots of beautiful beaches nearby. We also took the train to Valencia a couple of times which the teenagers loved. Carmen (and her lovely dad) were great hosts quickly answering any queries.

Carmen is a great host the property was very nice and enjoyed the stay. Enjoyed the restaurants and bars in the local village of barx. Took a Small drive to the beach about 15mins but worth it. We will be going back very soon.

Casa estupenda

La casa está en perfectas condiciones, tiene mucha privacidad respecto a las casas de al lado, la piscina es muy grande y comoda, la urbanización es muy tranquila, las vistas a la montaña son increíbles, la playa está a 25 minutos en coche, Carmen muy atenta y amable. En general un buen destino de vacaciones.
