As always, we had the best stay at Ricky and Pennys place. Idyllic and tranquil, and the best private beach on the island. I can’t thank them enough. When all flights in the Caribbean were cancelled for a day and left us indefinitely stranded, they went above and beyond to help us think of solutions, and let us extend our stay a few more days. Already looking forward to our next return.

Turtle Bay

While the views from the VRBO were undeniably beautiful, several aspects of our stay were problematic.The 22 steps leading up to the cottage were not only uneven, as noted by previous reviewers, but also obstructed by overgrown vegetation, making it impossible to stand upright while going up and down the stairs. This created a significant inconvenience and safety concern.On our last night, we unexpectedly lost access to running water, making the toilet and shower unusable. The following morning, as we were departing, we contacted the property manager to report the issue. We attempted to use the restroom in the house closest to the water, but the provided key did not fit the door, leaving us without a solution for several hours.Additionally, the dirt roads leading to the house were riddled with enormous potholes, making travel difficult. The proximity of a septic sewer pond also resulted in an unpleasant odor while traveling the roads in and out of Turtle Bay.While the views were stunning, these challenges significantly impacted our experience. Future guests may want to be aware of these issues before booking.

Even Better than the Pictures

Wow! The view from the outdoor sitting area of turtle beach and of Nevis was amazing. Even though the cottage is next to the villa, the outdoor sitting area is completely separate and private.

Ocean Song Cottage-A real treasure

We found the cottage perfectly charming. Ricky and Penny created such a comfortable and unique island cottage. We fully enjoyed the outdoor spaces, with a birds eye view of Nevis, and lovely ocean breezes. We spent some time at the beach lounge, soaking up the sun and playing in the ocean. A BIG shout out to Franklyn! He was an absolute gem, from meeting us "late" the evening of check-in, to arranging a safe ride to and from Port Zante so we could fully enjoy a catamaran snorkel tour with an open bar. We'd recommend this sweet cottage to any couple looking for a quiet and romantic setting to call home while visiting St. Kitts

10th Anniversary Getaway

2nd time staying at Ocean Song Charming cottage. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spent most of our time in the Turtle Beach area as we did most of the upper part of St. Kitts on previous trips. Views from property are unsurpassed. Used kitchen for breakfast every morning and for some supplemental snacks on some days. Rental car helped alot for venturing to hiking, snorkeling, and dining. We enjoyed the peace and relaxation of this place even more than last visit since we know what we are doing!!

Gorgeous location!

We loved Ocean Song Cottage! The cottage itself is beautiful and well appointed with everything you need. The location is gorgeous--off the beaten track with no crowds or traffic. The bedroom view in the morning and the outside stone decks are absolutely amazing! The private beach is just a few minutes walk down the street and was perfect! Franklin answered every questions we had and helped us book a day trip to Nevis. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanted a quiet, beautiful time away!

Peaceful escape

Penny and Rickie have a beautiful cottage in a private, secluded location. The cottage is well furnished and well kept. The beach cottage on Turtle Bay is outstanding. The high ratings are well deserved. We enjoyed every minute!

Perfect Romantic Getaway

Fabulous view at this lovely property in a great location on St. Kitts! The outdoor spaces are really beautiful and the indoor space well thought out and very comfortable. Very easy to while away the hours reading on the patio and enjoy the visiting monkeys, but you'll want to go down to Turtle Beach to swim and snorkel on this almost deserted stretch of beach. Would strongly recommend and would come back in the future.

Wish we didn’t have to leave…

This was our second time staying here. First was 2019, then we booked in 2021 but had to cancel because of Covid. (The owners were amazing about cancelling - they kept us updated on the constantly changing regulations.) So this trip was long overdue and didn’t disappoint. It’s a perfect set-up for a couple. You have the privacy of staying in your own place but all the amenities of staying in a resort - an exclusive “beach club”, views, private patio. Loved that there is extra closet space / desk space now - a smart upgrade since so many people work remotely now. Franklyn, their property manager, is amazing. Welcomed us on arrival. Thanks & can’t wait to be back!!!

Paradise And Then Some

If you're looking for the perfect tropical getaway with the best views ever, this property is that and more. The photos online are amazing, but can't quite capture the full beauty of the views from here. You have so many different perches on the property to choose from. There is so much to see and do on the island, and Ricky and Franklyn are full of suggestions on what to see and do. Franklyn is amazing to assist with setting up things. When we wanted to take our rental car to Nevis via the car ferry, he suggested riding over on the passenger ferry and taking a tour with a guide. It was the best decision ever. We met the most amazing woman in Hilarena who showed off her beautiful homeland of Nevis, which included a delightful stop for lunch and another pit stop to soak in some hot springs. Back on St. Kitts, Reggaes Beach Bar is five minutes away and a place with good food and great drinks. The Friday night lobster/shrimp/ribs/fish buffet -- with a live band -- was a delight. The beach house you have access to is similarly a treasure. Your own private beach with maybe one or two people around, if that. Delightful views of Nevis and the blue-green waters and great options for snorkeling or shellcombing. There's an honor bar where you can enjoy your favorite adult beverages. You can easily walk from the cottage to the beach house down a short road. And you might even spot a monkey or two along the way. Best vacation ever at the best cottage ever. We highly recommend!

Amazing place with unbelievable views!

Prior reviews really tell the story of the amazing property and are all accurate. 5 stars all the way! This place has all the amenities you need for amazing vacation. We loved the outside shower and soaker tub… We enjoyed our morning coffee while looking out at Nevis. Breathtaking! You also have access to a private entrance to Turtle beach where they have loungers, bathroom and honor bar which is really unique. Beach chairs and a cooler are provided to explore other beaches. We went to Sand bank bay which was on the Atlantic side and had big waves. It was lovely…we were the only 2 people on the beach. The property location is close to some of the best restaurants on the island but you will need a car(jeep)..we used Bullseye and they were wonderful as they will meet you at airport and take you to your car. Franklyn(property manager) was easy to get in touch with via What’s app if needed. He also arranged a private tour of Nevis for us. We had a driver for 4 hours to explore and see the hot spots and enjoyed lunch at Golden Rock with a stop at “Sunshine’s” for a killer B. Can’t miss that! Our favorite restaurant was Orchid Bay(not even close). It’s expensive but an experience and shouldn’t be missed Go for sunset! We had so much food that we had left overs for 2 nights so net net it wasn’t that bad! Don’t look any further if you want a romantic getaway! Sit back, relax and enjoy the monkey's!

Beautiful and peaceful little cottage

I had wanted to stay here for 2 years and I finally had an opportunity to stay in St Kitts for a week at the Ocean song cottage! Wow. I loved every minute of it. It's the sweetest little place and exactly as the pictures show. I enjoyed seeing the gorgeous view of Nevis from the bed in the morning and as the day goes by, how the clouds and sun and weather changes, it is simply a stunning site. The stairs were a small challenge with luggage and groceries, but as the week went on, I got used to them! It was good exercise after eating a yummy breakfast at the nearby Park Hyatt hotel. The cottage living space was the perfect size. At first I didn't think I would like the outdoor shower but it was amazing. I would have liked a small teak bench to help with shaving my legs, but I loved the view while showering. Bed was very comfy too. The best part was having the solitude of the cottage and then the opportunity to use the beach cottage during the day. It was the perfect combination of mountain side view and right on the beach experience. Perfect perfect perfect! Turtle Bay beach is so beautiful and natural. Nothing better than a whole day lying in the sun, swimming in the water and having a nice area to snack and hang out with a few drinks and relax. There is a bathroom and outdoor shower available too. Penny and Rick thought of everything to make their guests happy in this lovely beachfront cottage and it was a fantastic experience. I need to come back soon!!!!

Celebrating all things in paradise!

My husband and I just returned for a spectacular week at the Ocean Song Cottage on Turtle Beach. This was our first time to Saint Kitts and it definitely won’t be our last. Franklin, the property manager, was easy going, flexible and kind. He was always readily available via WhatsApp. The cottage itself looks out over breathtaking views. I loved doing my workouts on the private patio, taking a dip in the soaking tub and lounging on the chairs on the days we decided to not head to the beach. The outdoor shower is amazing and the views of Nevis are incredible! We even enjoyed our little monkey friends who typically visited us in the morning hours. It was extremely quiet and private for a couple to enjoy time together. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to bringing our families here in the near future to hopefully the Ocean Song Villa that is next door!
