An outstanding stay from start to finish. The hotel is impeccably clean, and the staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and welcoming- you immediately feel well taken care of. The luxury suite is exceptionally well designed, with a full kitchen and spacious living room that make it perfect for relaxing, entertaining, or simply enjoying time together. It truly feels like a home-away-from-home, but elevated. Breakfast was a highlight- fresh, delicious, and comforting, with standout cheesy grits that were absolutely spot on. One of the best perks is the location: you can step right outside and be on the lake, making morning runs or peaceful walks incredibly easy and scenic. Between the thoughtful amenities, comfortable living space, and unbeatable lake access, this hotel delivers both luxury and livability. My son is a student at LSU and staying at the Cook is more convenient than any other hotel since it is near the heart of campus. Most campus locations are walkable, the rooms are spacious, and staff is friendly. Prices vary quite a bit depending on the time of year, but if it is comparable or slightly higher than other options, it’s worth booking for the location alone.

The hotel was wonderfully located right on the LSU campus. The proximity to the university made our visit so much easier. There were a few minor issues with the room that could have been corrected. Overall, it was a nice property with great, helpful staff.
