"A quirky hotel - very old in parts plus newer extension. We had a spacious bedroom with 2 armchairs and a very comfortable bed. A modern bathroom, but with little shelf space to put toiletries or toothbrushes (a tumbler, perhaps?). Some complimentary toiletries provided. We booked to eat in the restaurant ..."

"Lovely and quiet location with comfortable, clean rooms, a good breakfast and with safe parking. The country house is just off the A21 within an easy drive from Hastings and St. Leonards. I would be happy to stay there again."

No food being served which is not a problem plenty fo eateries around but I found the little café next to the Battle the best
