Beautiful renovated stone cottage, close to Brittany's major attractions

This beautiful traditional longere is divided into two carefully renovated gites. The West side sleeps 4-6 people and includes an open-plan downstairs living area with exposed oak beams, 2 sofa beds, wood burner and modern kitchen. Upstairs, is a front bedroom with double bed, back bedroom with twin beds and bathroom. Outside there is a patio area for barbecues and garden orchard, with fruit available in season. Free Wifi available in the house.

The neighbouring gite can also be rented together with this property for larger groups of 12 - 14 people - see #10052899

Situated in a quiet hamlet, we are close to many of Brittany's major attractions, including Mont St Michel, St Malo, Rennes, Cancale, Dinan, Combourg and Fougeres. Close by are lakeside walks through forests, or along the Ille-et-Rance canal. The Emerald Coast with its long, sandy beaches and wild jagged coastline is also only 45 minutes away by car.

We are within easy reach of the French channel ports as well as Dinard and Rennes airports, which both have low cost airlines flying from the UK. The house is maintained by our friendly neighbours, Sophie and Mustafa, who will work hard to make your stay a pleasure. Pets welcome!

Gite très agréable, confortable et douillet. A améliorer: - besoin d'un réfrigérateur plus grand. - besoin de tringles dans les chambres pour suspendre des vêtements. - poubelle cuisine à remplacer. sehr schöner Urlaub
Wir drei haben insgesamt einen sehr schönen Urlaub in dem Haus bzw. auch in der Bretagne verbracht. Das Haus war sehr schön eingerichtet und auch alles sehr sauber. Einzige Sache die wir uns gewünscht hätten im Haus, wäre ein größerer Kühlschrank gewesen. Wir haben fast drei Wochen dort verbracht, da war der Kühlschrank doch sehr klein für die Vorräte. Das Haus liegt sehr abgelegen, bei diesem sollte man sich vorher im klaren sein. Leider auch kein Eis oder Getränk am Abend zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber war hervorragend, da gab es nichts dran auszusetzen. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und irgendetwas zu bemäkeln gibt es ja immer, aber das waren nur Kleinigkeiten und halt persönliche Vorlieben. Danke für die schöne Zeit

Erholung auf dem Land
Das Haus ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Ausflüge in die Normandie und Bretagne. Der Garten ist schön und groß, aber leider nicht geschlossen, das könnte für Hundebesitzer ein Problem sein. In der Küche hätten wir uns noch größere Weingläser gewünscht, aber sonst war alles vorhanden .

Great place to relax!
We had a short but sweet stay at this beautifully renovated old farm house! It was perfectly clean with extremely comfortable beds and great pillows. The place is very quiet and you cannot really get anywhere on foot but all basic shops are just a five minute drive away. The house is well equipped (also for cooking; just a second frying pan would be great!) and has a large garden. Our three-year-old loved the cat and three kitten which lived in the garden (seems wild). Several points of interest can be visited as day trips from the house. Communication with the host was perfect. We can definitely recommend it!

Top vakantie in coronatijd
Mooi gerestaureerd oud huis. De ligging is perfect om een groot deel van Bretagne en Normandië te verkennen. Het huis is goed afgewerkt, prima bedden, mooie goed functionerende douche in de badkamer. Als het warm weer is biedt het huis in zeer ruime mate verkoeling door de dikke muren. Fijne grote tuin wat ideaal was voor onze hond. Enige minpuntje was de aanwezigheid van veel vliegen. Wij hebben hier twee prima weken doorgebracht.

Dit vakantiehuis ligt in een prachtige landelijke omgeving. Mooie tuin, en prima bedden. Het is gezellig ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Voor wie van stilte en rust houdt is dit een geweldige plek om vakantie te vieren.

Charming cottage!
When we arrived it was better than expected. The rooms were attractive, with style. The woodstove was an enjoyment in the cold winter and the location is great! We enjoyed the mont Saint Michel, Vitre, Dinan. Bretagne is beautiful. Don't forget to visit Cancale, we ate oysters there after a stroll, a must do because it is the oystercapital of the world.

Perfect gite in a perfect place
The reality is even better than photos. The gite is in a very good state, clean, beautifully furnished and fully equipped. The garden is above all expectations and the surrounding village is very picturesque. Except very slow internet the gite has no even one defect. Strongly recommended!!!!

Schön renoviertes Haus in ruhiger Umgebung
Das Haus ist schön renoviert und top ausgestattet. Die Betten sind bequem, an Küchenutensilien ist alles da und zwar in guter Qualität. Der Garten ist schön und ruhig, bequeme Gartenmöbel, großer Grill - alles toll. Der Vermieter ist ausgesprochen nett und kümmert sich. Allerdings ist die Lage für badewillige Urlauber nicht ganz ideal, denn bis zu den schönen Stränden bei St. Malo fährt man dann doch fast eine Stunde. Beim Mont St. Michel ist man schnell.

A wonderful renovated cottage in a relaxing location - ideal for touring this part of Brittany
This cosy little cottage has plenty of character and is perfect for combining absolute peace and quiet with days out at some of Brittany's best attractions. Our two teenage sons loved the Foret Adrenaline tree-top adventure in Rennes. Dinan was our favourite town and there are some fantasic beaches/cliff top walks at Dinard and Point de Grouin. The absence of instant connectivity with the outside world (via TV and internet) was an abolute pleasure but when we needed wifi (for checking the weather and for our sons to get their daily social media fix) a quick walk next door to the neighbours patio was all that was required. It was a great excuse to talk to the neighbours too. They made us so welcome and it was good to get the benefit of their local knowledge.

A wonderful cottage situated in the mindst of nature and peace
We (a couple and our 13-year old son) stayed in the cottage in the first half of July 2017 and we certainly enjoyed our stay very much.What we appreciated most was the atmosphere of quietness and peaceful solitude, which the house and its garden offer. The house is very cozy and it is equipped with everything you will need in order to be able to enjoy your stay away from home. Apart from that, the house is very clean and the host is very helpful and flexible in all respect. We can recommend the house and will certainly be visiting it again whenever we are in the area.

Agréable séjour
Une belle maison de la fin du 19e, joliment refaite à neuf. Pour les soirées fraiches, un poêle remplace la cheminée d'origine mais nécessite beaucoup de bois pour chauffer la grande pièce de vie. La terrasse est très belle pour manger dehors. En revanche, les tout petits peuvent tomber facilement, il faut bien les surveiller. Même remarque pour l'escalier, il suffirait de mettre à disposition une de ces barrières amovibles pour bloquer l'accès à l'escalier en haut et en bas. Emplacement très bien, 25 minutes du mont saint michel, 45 de saint malo. Et extrêmement calme dans ce petit hameau. Il y a des fenetres type velux dans toutes les chambres, mais pas de stores pour les occulter la nuit. Je ne doute pas qu'ils seront installés prochainement, sinon c'est le réveil avec le lever du soleil pour bien profiter de sa journée :)
