“This is a cozy property in a very rural setting. The host is extremely responsive and very thorough. It is quiet and private. The furniture and bed are very comfortable. The wood burning stove is a pellet stove which provides enough heat to take the edge off. The hot tub could comfortably fit 4 people. The Village of Cold Spring is less than 10 minutes away, as is the Interstate 84 bridge across the Hudson. If you want to make your own food, bring it. There is no grocery store nearby.”

“We were a family of five, four adults and one child. The rental was very comfortable and stocked better than any vacation rental we’ve stayed in before. Communication with the host was easy. The location is convenient to all major highways in the Hudson Valley. The town was very close, but you feel like you are in the country! We would definitely stay here again!”

“Older manufactured home has been updated. We appreciated that each area had its own mini split unit for individual climate control. Area felt safe and quiet. Good hot water and water pressure. Kitchen was stocked for stovetop cooking but not much for baking, and no water glasses. (We just drank everything from the coffee cups.) Split bedroom layout was good for two couples. ”

“Four friends had a wonderful time at Black Walnut Tree Farm. The space was amazing! There was plenty of spaces that we could hang out together, but also we each had areas that we could retreat to. The kitchen was well-stocked ands spacious, the large living room had many comfortable seats around the fire, and there was a great sunroom where we could sit and play games. The grounds were huge and one could easily get lost walking around the property. We all loved the place and are collectively……

“We were a party of 5, myself and my husband with our three 20 something kids. The house is modest from the exterior but the interior is very special. Old wide pine floors and wood beamed ceilings - very unexpected! Everything we needed was there, comfortable furnishings and a tv to watch the basketball games. The property itself is gorgeous, with a waterfall in the backyard and expansive lawn. It's a short walk or drive to a lake with other lakes and hikes nearby. Very private area. Three……

“OUTSTANDING location! The views are incredible! Great outdoor area for a bonfire and family time! Hot tub! Grill! Not to mention the rooms are perfection with attention to detail. There is even a family room with a baby bed and play pen which was perfect for my daughter and her little family. The owners of the property answered our questions 24/7 and were always very gracious and kind. Constantly asking if we needed anything to make our stay better. “My wife and I, along with my two daughters and grandchildren stayed at the Queen City Cottage for 4 nights. We needed to add an extra day at the last minute and Marissa was very responsive and accommodating. The house was clean upon our arrival and entry was a breeze. It's a bedroom, 1.5 bath, with extra bathroom in basement in laundry room. Location wa great! Restaurants and shopping minutes away.
