The House of the Convent offers a completely renovated accommodation in a former convent from the 17th century, consisting of a
- Very large living room with open-plan fitted kitchen, beautiful French ceiling, lounge area,
- Master bedroom with a double bed (180x200)
- Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds (90 x 180)
- Bathroom with walk-in shower (140 x 90), 2 washbasins
- Separate toilet.
- Facilities:
Free WiFi, washing machine, dryer, oven (Miele) , microwave (Miele), TV, Bluetooth radio, , refrigerator, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, dishes, pot, etc ...
- Duvets and sheets, towels, dish cloth
- We take care about the cleaning of the property, and the person in charge of the house is particularly attentive to it.
- The private garden of 900 m2 is enclosed by walls ... We let on disposal a charcoal WEBER BBQ , garden furniture, deck chair (Fermob). The garden is shared with our 2nd apartment.
- Baby crib and high chair available on demand.
- The convent is set back from the street which makes it a calm and tranquil place to stay.
- Not accessible to people with reduced mobility, because of a lot of stairs (Old building) .
- Thank you for being environmentally respectful by turning off the lights when you leave the premises.
Please avoid heating (if possible) above 20°C in living areas and 18°C in the bedrooms.

It is situated just a few minutes’ walk from:
- the center of town, so it’s easy to get to the market and shops or to one of Beaune’s excellent restaurants.
- Bike road in the vineyards and park (500 meters from the Convent)
- 2 minutes walking distance from restaurants (Table du Square, Maison du Colombier..)
- 5 minutes walking distance from the wineries to taste and enjoy wine (Maison Joseph Drouhin, cave Patriarche)
- 5 minutes walking-distance from the market area (Wednesday and Saturday morning)
- Not accessible to people with reduced mobility, due to a lot of stairs (old building)
Beaune offers a very wide range of activities, and has a great cultural potential

- “Vente des Vins”, Beaune’s renowned charity wine auction, 3rd weekend of November

- Gastronomy: there are Michelin-starred restaurants included amongst the region’s many restaurants

Lovely spot in Beaune

Spacious apartment in former convent. Nice owners who care about the property and are responsive. Tricky to find but great directions. Great location - walk to town yet out of the fray, prefect location for doing the Voie Des Vignes - walk to a great bike rental shop owners recommended, on the Voie, between the north and south routes. Safe and easy storage for bikes in the protected courtyard. Loved our trip.

All of the Modern Conveniences in an Old Burgundian Town

My mom and I stayed here for a little over a week and absolutely loved it. It’s within walking distance to the center of town and has easy access for biking/walking through the Premier Cru area. The apartment had everything. The kitchen was well stocked with essential cooking utensils to make meals using wonderful market finds. Caroline, the host texted me back immediately whenever I had a question. We definitely want to stay here again.

Style and location = Perfection!

We -- two couples -- found the convent flat to be superb in every way. The location couldn't be better for exploring Beaune and walking/biking to nearby vineyard towns. The large open-plan living/dining area provided plenty of space for us to spend time together, and the two bedrooms afforded privacy. The flat is outfitted with everything one could want, and it is furnished and decorated in a thoughtful, elegant and non-fussy manner. Lovely views from the windows, which offer a cross-breeze on summer nights. And of course there is the garden for lounging and an outdoor apero. Should we visit Beaune again, this will be our first choice. Thank you!

Gorgeous, quiet, clean 2 bedroom with perfect kitchen and garden

What a beautiful renovated floor of a former convent. Everything in its place with high ceilings and the traditional beamed ceiling. The kitchen has an incredible set of amenities; pots and pans and sharp knives made it easy to cook meals, and we loved the provided coffee and sugar. The Gigandet's were consummate hosts, responsive and kind, especially when we had a little trouble finding the entrance in the dark on the first night. If we're ever back in town, we will definitely reserve it again.

Perfect Location, Great Accommodation

We had a great week at the former convent - it's a short walk into the centre of beautiful Beaune, and there's a great outside space with chairs and loungers in the garden, shared with the apartment below. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat in occasionally and the short walk into Beaune allowed us to eat out easily too! It also had parking, which was important for us. Would highly recommend.

Ideal für eine Reise ins Burgund

Die Ferienwohnung liegt ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss von der Altstadt entfernt, am Ende einer langen Zufahrt in einer ruhigen Ecke von Beaune. Ein grosser Garten und Sitz- und Liegeplätze können zum sonnen, essen etc. genutzt werden. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Für einen Aufenthalt im Burgund sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir haben die Ferienwohnung schon zum zweiten Mal gemietet, weil sie schön renoviert und gut ausgestattet ist und sowohl nahe der innenstadt von Beaune gelegen, als auch ein günstiger Ausgangspunkt für Radtouren durch die Weinberge nach Pommard und Mersault ist.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt, aber schlechte Kommunikation mit der Agentur und dem check-in

Der Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung war sehr angenehm, weil die Wohnung sehr modern und bequem ausgestattet war und für drei erwachsenen Personen genügend Raum bot. Nur die Toilette war etwas sehr eng. Besonders haben wir abends nach langen Ausflügen den schönen großen Garten genossen. Nicht in Ordnung war die versuchte Kommunikation mit der Agentur, die auf mein Mail im Vorfeld, in dem ich etwas wissen wollte gar nicht bzw. sehr unzulänglich geantwortet hat. Die auf der Webseite von FeWo angebene Telefonnummer in Frankfurt am Main hat nicht funktioniert, so dass wir schon Angst hatten, Betrügern aufgesessen zu sein. Auch das check-in nur über Telefon fanden wir alle nicht sehr gut. Wir hätten erwartet, dass wir zu Beginn von einer lebendigen Person begrüßt werden würden und diese uns dann alles erklärt. Das hier war sehr unpersönlich und ungeduldig am Telefon; kurzum, wir empfanden es als extrem unhöflich. Das sollten Sie in Zukunft anders organisieren, Vielleicht schauen Sie sich auch einmal nach Deutsch-sprechenden Personen um. Aus diesen Gründen werden wir wahrscheinlich künftig nicht mehr über so eine anonyme Agentur buchen, sondern lieber wieder über privbate Anbieter. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Heide Langguth

Beautiful apartment near the heart of Beaune

Staying at La Maison du Couvent was a restful experience where we were surrounded by simple beauty in each room. Every member of our family commented on the peacefulness of the residence, maybe tied to its history as a convent, but certainly attributable to the aesthetic design of the space. The colors of the walls of the bedrooms (a greenish blue and gray) somehow made you feel like you were a part of the sublime sky outside. We kept the updated windows, whose style tied in with the original architecture of the building, open in the afternoons and evenings, allowing us to hear the singing of nearby birds and the flowered scents of gardens that the apartment overlooked. In the communal spaces of the apartment, the clean lines of the kitchen and modern appliances invited us to cook, while the living room and dining area, decorated with subtle yellows and oranges, provided a perfect space for gathering as a family. The central area of Beaune, including the historical hospital of the Hotel Dieu, were a short walk away from our front door. A close-by bike shop also awaited us, where we could rent electric bikes that took us through the surrounding vineyards and small villages of Burgandy. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful landing space in one of the best wine growing regions of the world, we can’t recommend La Maison de Couvent highly enough.
