When i checked out at 05.00am (because of the noise) the man at reception actually laughed at my misfortune, How Rude!! I have been promised my money back and i am still waiting."

"Perfectly nice hotel, but don’t get a room next to the lift shaft - it makes a hell of a noise every time the lift goes up and down. It tears through the bedroom like nails on a blackboard. Regularly through the night, and by morning it was almost every minute or two. I was in room 112 - if you’re offered that room, ask them to move you. "

"Staff excellent. Setting beautiful. We stayed in the old house which had real charm, but was a little tired. Beyond the historic house is a conference centre, with spa. We ate an evening meal in the 1744 restaurant which was well priced and very tasty. "
