Need to get away from the “noise” of your everyday life? Sanctuary provides the space and serenity to think, dream, pray and……listen.

Sleep in late, take a stroll around the property, sip wine by the fire pit and listen to the tree frogs. Even if you want to stay in your pajama’s your entire stay, we’ve got books, board games and solitude for you.

2. Contemplate and Create with a Certified Coach on Site

Your host at the Sanctuary is a certified Leadership & Life Purpose Coach and is ready to meet you if you desire. Providing a safe, non-judgmental environment, you can engage with Christine to help you think through and process a variety of issues including your calling, life goals, leadership, connecting or re-connecting with God or work issues while taking a brisk walk around the farm or just sitting in the gazebo looking at the ripples on the pond or the majesty of the mountains.

This experience includes two nights lodging, two coaching sessions and contemplative questions so you leave with clarity or a plan to thrive in life. ($200 extra for a two night stay although many guests choose to have their second coaching session once they get back home and have a chance to do some "homework.").

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: It is important to note that the Sanctuary is a place to unwind and unplug. We hope it's an opportunity to slow down, enjoy nature, and dream big. For that reason, we do not have wifi. Guests are welcome to use their own mobile hot spot, or if an emergency or need arises, guests can contact us about using a temporary hot spot.

The Sanctuary is also a working farm, so don't be alarmed if you hear the cows mooing or the sounds of a tractor or four wheeler.

Great Little Getaway

This was a quaint little getaway. It was a beautiful suite located on a 17 acre farm. You could go out back and look over a pond and sit and a gazebo and look over mountains. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to go off the grid with no wifi and just enjoy some peace and quiet or time with a partner.

Santuary Paradise

perfect place to rest your soul! Our Santuary stay was a last minute decision that turned into the stay we didn’t know we needed. The property is absolutely amazing with Mountain Views and land that is enough to enjoy the whole stay ! Christine and Jason are very tentative host and put special touches to make sure our stay was peaceful ! We enjoyed picnics on the Gazebo and sit by the pond and fire pit . The rental (Santuary) was beautifully decorated and had everything needed to cook all meals . Side Note -The kitchen sink made me smile , an old fashioned kitchen sink just my grandmother had when I was young .The bed was very comfortable and the living room was perfect for reading and relaxing..I highly recommend the Sanctuary for a disconnect from the busy world and connect to the peaceful sounds and sights of this wonderful special place called The Sanctuary!!

A Beautiful Property

The Sanctuary offered a beautiful, peaceful, and thoroughly enjoyable weekend. The space was clean and very comfortable. The hosts were responsive and very welcoming. Lovely cottage in a panoramic location. Cottage is perfect for serene getaway in every way— comfy fyy it entire, lovely bed linens and everything squeaky clean. Hosts are welcoming but not intrusive. No doubt one will feel refreshed and restored after a visit. It’s the kind of place that says “stay longer”.

Relax, unplug and get away from it all!

What a beautiful place to stay! The hosts were incredible and loved that every evening they had the fire-pit ready to go with logs available for our evening night cap under the stars. Waking up in the morning to a beautiful view of the mountains from the shower was spectacular. The suite was clean, welcoming and well maintained inside and out. Looking forward to returning to this mountain oasis.

Cute little place!

My boyfriend and I met up with a friend in the area and needed a place to crash overnight. Definitely nice coming to a cute little farmhouse after a long day of driving. Very cozy and well kept. If we're ever in the area we'd like to book again!

Great Escape

Nice location to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The view of Peaks of the Otter was beautiful. The owners are friendly and attentive to any needs you might have. The Sanctuary was well appointed and was a great respite.

A perfect getaway!

The property was just as described. The views were breathtaking. The hosts were accessible and so friendly. The location was perfect for accessing the parkway. The only thing I would change was the length of the stay…. it ended too soon!! I will definitely be looking to rebook a stay.

The majesty of the Sanctuary

We selected this VRBO for the location to the wedding venue in Bedord VI. We were delighted in the location. It was a pleasant, peaceful stay. The accommodations were perfect and location. Fabulous getaway!

Santuary is aptly named. This lovely cottage in the mountains was the perfect spot to unwind. The decor was lovely, the bed was comfy, the shower just right and the views were spectacular. The host was equally wonderful so this was a fabulous getaway for me and my husband!

This place was perfect for the two of us. Very clean, bright, private, quiet. The view is incredible. The hosts welcomed us upon arrival, then left us alone. We were so pleased, and the area is so lovely, with enough to keep busy -or not.

A heavenly peaceful retreat with the beauty of nature

It was really out of the way of the hustle and bustle of busyness but was so very refreshing. It was like God was wrapping you with all his beauty and peacefulness to be able to relax and enjoy.The house was clean and cozy and comfortable.
