“I had the pleasure of staying at the Mystic River Resort in Early June and the whole experience has made me fall in love with Belize. The property is immaculately maintained and incredibly clean, my room was upgraded free of charge which included a plunge pool on the balcony which definitely added to the experience !. The property overlooks the Macal river which adds an ethereal vibe to the whole experience and is surrounded by a myriad of varying wildlife. The staff really re-defined amazing……

“The property was gorgeous and very clean. The outdoor pool with a jungle view was breathtaking. Plenty of space and everything was very modern. Their chef makes a delicious breakfast and everything is fresh. The assistant manager Tiffani was truly amazing she helped with everything from beginning to end. “This is such a beautiful property that really immerses you in the nature of San Ignacio. Rose cooked fresh breakfast everyday that was absolutely delicious, and her and her husband were super kind. I also rented a car from Rod, who was also super nice, so I had such a smooth experience getting from place to place. It’s a little far from town but well worth the peace, and with a rental car it’s honestly a no-brainer. I can’t thank Rose, her husband, and Rod enough for an amazing time when I was……

“The landscaping of this property is amazing and the pool was great. You get to see animals, birds, and plants native to the area. All the staff was friendly and the on site restaurant had great food and drinks. The Cahel Pech ruins is this resorts neighbor so you can walk right to it. Be mindful, it is on top of a steep hill. I highly recommend and would return.”

“The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. Super refreshing and pretty pool, and the beds were SO comfortable. ”

“The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was great. The property's jungle setting and landscaping made me feel like I was in a jungle. And while not a nightly occurrence, having howler monkeys howling the first evening really set the tone to remind me I wasn't in California. A special callout to the staff at Fiona's restaurant, the food was great, but talking with the staff there was super fun. I would recommend Maya Mountain Lodge to anyone and everyone.”

“Clean, quiet, and inexpensive option convenient to everything in San Ignacio. The manager, Hugo, was on site and very helpful during our stay. The kitchen area was well stocked with dishes and utensils and was nice to have available. AC worked well in the rooms and it was a relief to have the option to cool off at the end of each day. We’d happily stay there again.”

“The property and House was clean and cool with AC! The staff was so much fun and thoughtful! We learned so much from Alfred and Dwight throughout our stay! We also did the big zip lines, repelling, and tight rope which was fun and beautiful! There is lots to do around the resort and it’s close to so many beautiful sights!”

“I'm very happy we stayed here. Simple. Sweet. We did not use the AC and left the windows open for air. It was a little noisy at night, but not the fault of the hotel. Ezra made us really delicious breakfasts for us each morning. Staff were all very kind. ”
