“Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!”

“We very much enjoyed our stay at Mahogany Hall. The staff is incredibly friendly, the view of the river is incredible and the accommodations are lovely. If you don’t mind a short drive into San Ignacio, the tranquility of this place is ideal. It’s off the beaten path and yet still close enough that all four of our tours picked us up at the hotel. “We stayed here for 24 nights in March and loved it. It’s perfect for a couple. Beautiful Sandy Beach with kayaks and standup paddle boards. Also has nice cruiser bikes that we used to bike into town almost every day. Gillian is a great communicator and provided a lot of helpful information. The local property managers are very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.”
