「A step-back-in-time and off-the-beaten-path small hotel with all the quintessential character, charm, and quality service you could hope for. The cooked-to-order breakfast was included in our stay and very tasty. Comfortable bed and great shower. This place is truly memorable in every way.」

「Rooms were nice and clean with a nice feel of new and old bits and pieces which we liked. Staff (Calum) family run hotel was lovely very helpful on any knowledge about Callander what to do and see and always had time for a blether. Breakfast was lovely and tasty both mornings, nothing was a problem and went that extra mile to make the stay a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. 3 Adults in adjoining rooms.」

「Free parking, Close to National parks」

「We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. Accommodation was very comfortable & clean. Shower was amazing. We had a room overlooking the river. Great choice at breakfast. Would definitely recommend having the full breakfast.」

「Good location. Hotel owner kind and friendly. Room big but old fixtures 」

「Ended up not being able to visit and they refused to refund any of the money, even though they had a weak notice that we were not going to be able to attend. Horrible people to deal with extremely rude. Do not recommend.」

「Wonderful staff!!」

「It was really difficult to unlock and open the doors, the locks were loose and the door handles were coming off. When we arrived and went into the bathroom there was a roll of toilet paper with poop on it. I went out to the hall and was able to find an open closet with toilet paper, but that was really gross to come into a room and see that. The television in one of our rooms did not work. The toilet in the other room would not flush. There was two minutes of warm water in the shower before...

「This apartment was wonderful. Comfortable and clean. We easily got in and out. Such an amazing first experience. The staff was helpful and kind. The restaurant was delightful with amazing food!」

「This is a very historic hotel with lots of charm. If you want a modern, sterile hotel, don't stay here. If you like floors that have settled with age, friendly and interesting st aff, a great little pub with a good traditional breakfast, and steeped in the history of Scotland, this is a comfortable and safe hotel. I appreciated the value (cost and convenience) which made this stay affordable.」

「This place was amazing. A cute little cottage tucked away privately. Received a lot of snow our first night and decided to walk down to the little in at the bottom of the Mountain for breakfast which was amazing. The hot tub and fire place were great. The host met us when we arrived. Directions were great but we weren’t sure we were in the right spot. 」

「Great place to stay. We stayed in a Mongolian yurt, which was a unique experience, like glamping. The owners are wonderful people who prepared a 5-star breakfast for our family and complemented it with friendly conversation. Overall, it's a great place for people who want to escape soulless hotel chains and create sweet memories.」
