The home is on shared property with a small cluster of other homes. The yard is shared with a fire pit and room to lounge, which is described in the listing. Some folks might like to know the corner lot is is a bit noisy. 10 Barrel is immediately across the street, and other pubs/breweries, coffee shops, and popular places are very close by. There is foot and car traffic.
The home has no a/c, which is accurately listed, but I did not notice. Pre-check-in materials indicated I should turn the heat or a/c up or down before departing, and I got thrown by that. The weather was fine while there, so not a problem. Some folks might not feel comfortable leaving windows open at this busy location, plus, not all windows of the small home open.
We had trouble with the door code on arrival, but the property owner was extremely responsive and we got right in.
Please note the rooms of this home are very small, although the kitchen is large. We had a toddler with us. His pack and play fit in a very small office space next to one of the small bedrooms.
We were only in Bend for a long weekend, so we enjoyed the local food and beverages. We walked everywhere we went, including the amphitheater, not pulling our vehicle out of the carport even once during our stay. We did not cook in the home, although I could tell there was adequate supplies to do so, if we wanted to.
The home fit our needs and we enjoyed the walkable location. Still, would probably choose a different home next time.
