"We had a terrific stay at Patrice and Armelle's Gite. The hosts have large hearts and gave us a whole basket full of excellent local nuts. We were welcomed very warmly and kindly although we arrived late and Armelle helped us with all that we needed, including the rental and application of bedsheets. "Beautiful property and ideal for a family or a group of friends. Very peaceful and the location is great for exploring the region. Pool is a nice edition and the outside eating areas are a good size. The hosts are fantastic and will help with any queries you have and give plenty of advice regarding things to see and do. "When Mieke welcomed us, we felt immediately at home she couldn't have done more to make us feel at home and this continued through the week, checking on us and providing us with cooling fans, advice on places to see and anything else we needed. The property rustic with huge amount of character. It is in a very rural quiet setting but within an easy drive of places of interest in the Dordogne and Vezere valleys. Would definitely recommend if traditional is what you are after."

"The property was ideal for us, great enclosed garden for our dog. Kathy was very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is quite rustic which is reflected in the price. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone with a dog. Very close to Sarlat which is beautiful . A short walk up the hill brought us to a lovely village and church which was beautiful.Follow the yellow signs in the village for a lovely circular walk back to the property via a bar, shop and cafe."

"If a little piece of French countryside is what you are looking for then this is place is for you. We enjoyed our stay though did not utilize the property to its full potential. We used this as a base to visit the caves and tour the surrounding area. Unfortunately we did not have the time to just relax here. Next time. Jacqueline was awesome. We would recommend."

"The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking was a bit difficult, but was just as it had been described. Our only complaint was the old wooden support beams in our room (room 36). In both the bedroom and the bathroom, these supprt beams took up room and were low enough for a tal person to need to stoop down to pass them. Ii guess it's the charm of modern retrofitting of an older structure. "
