Snowless in Bergland
Everything was pretty much as presented in the description. The owner kept in communication with me, asking if I needed anything. It’s an older home, but she has kept it up and it had everything you needed. We went there to snowmobile, unfortunately for the first time in decades, there was no snow. The only issue is the location is on the highway, and even though it is in town, log trucks rolled through all night, if you’re a light sleeper it could be a problem. All being said, we’ll try again next year.

The house is close to everything you need. Gas, groceries store, Bar and Restaurants. No driving needed. We are working on replacing the windows to cut down on the noise.

Snowmobile trip
Deborah, and Tom were great hosts. The home is well equipped beyond what we were expecting. The house was clean and there was plenty of room for our trucks and sled trailers . 2 blocks from the trail , bars , lake and gas station. We will be returning to the Bergland blue rental !! Thanks again

Excellent place for families
The Bergland Blue House was a great centralized location for our travels. The house had so many extras available that it really lightened our load while packing. For example, there were enough towels for our family of 7. The kitchen was fully equipped and made our vacation so much more streamlined. We just had to bring the food. Literally everything else was already in the kitchen. The table had enough seating that we could all eat our usual family dinner after our day of exploring. Deb even purchased a highchair so our little lady would have her own seat at the table. Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful place to stay on our summer vacation. . . hoping to come back soon!

Perfect UP place to stay!
We so enjoyed this house. It was clean and very well stocked. It was so convenient to have a washer/dryer and the hot water never ran out! The Dollar General across the street was great. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Porcupine Mountains/western UP. Thank you!

Perfect location

Prime Snowmobile Location
First of all. Great Neighbors !! They own our rental. Great communication and they answered any possible questions we had. The Blue house perfect for exactly what we’re there for RIDING SLEDS. Very Cozy, Great high speed internet. Affordable. An added plus Dollar General is across the street for anything you might have forgotten. We will be back! Thanks again! Dean

Comfy stay
We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the house. Could have done with a little less snow but that’s the risk of hunting in the UP. Will definitely stay here again next year if things work out.

Good property for outdoor activity. TV and internet very good. Beds are small and hard which was uncomfortable for me at least. The stairway needs a rail someone is going to fall.

Thanks for your feedback David. The house is from the 1940's and has never had a railing going upstairs due to the hallway size. We will take that into consideration. The beds are medium firmness and fairly new. I do not think it would hurt to have two softer ones to accommodate vacationers sleeping tastes. Thanks for your feedback.

It’s like staying at Grandma’s house! So cozy!
We came to Bergland for a wedding and chose this little blue house! Great choice! So comfortable and felt like you’re at home! It had everything you need and the convenience of having a store and restaurant right across the street! We will be staying when we come back to Bergland again. Deb and Tom were very friendly and accommodating!

Friendly stay in the UP
The house is impeccably clean and very well stocked. It had everything we needed. The location is great to explore the UP, with easy access to beautiful falls, lake Superior, and the Porcupine mountains. Deb and Tom are wonderful hosts, and we are planning to stay here again in the winter. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Review
The home was cleaned and had plenty of sheets, towels, and other extra kitchen amenities. The bathroom is a bit small so if you are tall or larger in size may be uncomfortable fit. The home is right on a main road through town, but out in that area not much traffic on main roads. Nice home base to explore the Porcupine Mountain State Park and local waterfalls.

Our Vacation home offers more then any other home in the area at a lower cost. This home was built in the 1940's, and cannot be structurally changed. We have worked hard to make it clean and comfortable for our vacationers. There is no other place in the area that all you need to bring is your essentials, tooth past and brush, hair brush, cloths and food. Everything else is provided. We even offer Kayaks for free and deliver them to the lake if needed. This home has it all at a great price.

Central location for U.P. exploring
This little house is just like going back to the good ole days! If you looked forward visiting grandma's house every summer, you will feel very comfortable here. As many mix-matched linens as you could ever need, and comfy beds. Be aware all beds are twins. We didn't even attempt the sleeper sofa...cause we all know how that usually ends. ;) I personally would have a hard time sharing this small space with any other than a kid or 2 (the bathroom is a tight fit) and has nowhere to hang/put anything, but some can probably make it work. I really appreciated having ample paper goods and lots of fans. And the A/C worked great.

First to western UP
Used this as a base for a bird hunting trip. Only had to go a couple miles and be on federal hunting land. Seen a wolf! My elderly father was able to walk down to Lake Gogebic since we were so close to the park. He caught a pike! You could tell it was off season but we really enjoyed driving around the lake and area. Had a great beef hot shot and some of the best bread sticks we ever tasted at Antonios across the street. We were able to cook some meals in the kitchen. The A/C and heat works fast! Evening was a good time to catch some baseball playoffs on the big screen. Amazed to see all the side by side traffic and relaxed atmosphere.

Berg land vacation
We normally stay in Ironwood. This time we thought we’d find a place centralized to what we wanted to do. We went to ironwood, mount Zion, porcupine mountain, summit peak, lake in the clouds amount others at porcupine mountain. Gogebic lake is also nice. We enjoyed our time. Colleen and Bob.

Margret was wonderful to meet. Felt bad the weather hit in the upper 90's with 90% humidity while she was visiting. With our house being an older home it does not have the ductwork that newer houses have. We had a hard time keeping the upstairs cool with the central air. We are going to see what we can do about the ductwork. Glad we had extra fans to assist with these unusually hot weather.

Loved the cleanliness and thoughtful touches (amenities like paper products, soap, shampoo, dishes & pots and pans, as well salt, pepper, a grill, etc.). Too much to detail but believe me it was WAY more than other places we’ve stayed. Was above and beyond the descriptions on Vrbo and very comfortable and cozy. Stay here folks!! Well worth every dime.

Went up fishing for a weekend. The owners live nextdoor. They will go out of their way to make you happy. We ended up a block away from boat launch. The owners set us up a fish cleaning station at the house. Can't say anything bad. We will book another trip with them again.
