Stay Oct 1-5 2025. Excellent from start to finish. The airline lost my bag at the airport but the staff at SO Berlin were so friendly and helpful. They did their best to take care of. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying Berlin. Truly excellent.

We spent our anniversary at Das Stue, and it was simply perfect. From the moment we arrived, we could feel how much care and attention the team puts into every detail. They surprised us with a beautiful gift that made our special day even more meaningful. Our room was stunning – elegantly designed, peaceful, and with an incredibly comfortable bed. We even had the sauna all to ourselves, which felt like a private little escape in the middle of Berlin. The drinks at the bar were excellent, the atmosphere both stylish and relaxed, and the staff was outstanding – genuinely warm, attentive, and incredibly friendly. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

You cannot find a bigger or nicer room than this. Just a spectacular room. The hotel is beautiful. The only complaint is with regards to the water temperature (too hot) both at the sinks and the shower.

Breakfast is a standard buffet - nothing special. The property must have been beautiful years ago, but it is now in serious need of maintenance. The TV i. My room did not work and could not be fixed for 3 days. The heating can not keep up with cold weather and plug-in heaters had to be brought in, after two days of complaints. Luckily, the staff is simply superb, so that lessened the disappointment.

It felt like a tranquil oasis in a hectic city, with the location next to the zoo and park. The hotel is the perfect combination of modern and historical. The decor is elegant and chic, with an animal theme and modern furnishings. The views are spectacular. Most importantly the staff was extremely welcoming, authentically warm and extremely accommodating. Dinner was fantastic in the French restaurant.

We loved the location being part of the zoo and large lovely park. So central but so quiet and green area. Hotel itself like a boutique hotel, in a historic Danish Embassy building. Still has the Spanish embassy on one side. Loved the outdoor terrasse, and friendly staff. We rented their bikes, pretty good shape being at a hotel, took us far around the city. Will come back to this hotel.

This hotel rocked my world! I only stayed one night, stopping over on a train trip from Paris to Prague, but I’m definitely coming back. Staff were super friendly & helpful, location is wonderful and it’s only a short walk to some great restaurants. I didn’t have an upscale room but all was pretty much perfect, including the morning view of an ostrich strutting her stuff in the zoo across the way. Auf wiedersehen, SO/ Berlin Das Stue!

Great luxury in a wonderful location

We were upgraded to a premium room with a large outside balcony. There were several chairs and lights on the balcony. Overlooked the Tiergarten. The hotel is five levels, which is very nice. It was primarily couples and a few business people and perhaps one or two people with children people. The bar area is very nice and there’s a nice sitting area outside the bar which has great sunshine and has a view onto the zoo. All the staff works, extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The rooms were very well kept and very comfortable. Everything in the hotel was clean and shining. They were bikes for rental, both bikes and standard bikes. we took bikes every day, with helmets, and toured Berlin this way.
