This cottage sits less than 50 feet from the water. This cottage originally built in the 20's as a summer only cottage, renovated in 2014 from the outside in order to maintain its beautiful interior appearance is now a true year round cottage. Complete with modern heating and cooling systems, updated kitchen and bathrooms. At 2200 square feet and 4 bedrooms this cottage will sleep 10 very comfortably. 2 bedrooms with king beds, one with a queen and a very cool double bunk room that kids or adults will be very comfortable in. There are large rooms for people to spread out in, or gather as a group. This cottage has two eating areas, a formal dining room and another one overlooking Platte Lake. Outside you will find a large 10 X 32 foot deck overlooking the lake with plenty of seating for all. A large fire pit with comfortable adirondack chairs around it. A large dock with a large platform at the end with a high top table and chairs, 4 kayaks and 2 SUP's at your disposal located at the dock. The large outdoor shower is a favorite and a great place to rinse off after a beach day. This shower getting the warm afternoon sun is a fun and relaxing place to shower for the evening or any time. There is ample parking for 4 vehicles are on the property. Located on the south shore of Big Platte, you are close to many of the area's great attractions and cottage towns like Beulah, Frankfort, Empire, Glen Arbor, Leland and Traverse City most in 30 minutes or less. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is minutes away with many great hikes and Lake Michigan beaches. Kayak, tube or canoe the very popular Platte River which will take you out to Lake Michigan and a great end to the day, again just minutes away.
