"You'll never want to leave! We took a risk booking a new-to-VRBO property with few reviews and felt like we had won the jackpot. Rick is a great host - responsive and helpful and really cares about his guests - and the property exceeded all of our expectations and was great for our young family. The camp itself is private, cozy, extremely clean and has magazine worthy views from nearly every room. You'll find a more traditional camp vibe downstairs (complete with stuffed animal heads mounted on the walls) with two glassed in porches that gave the kids (4 and 8) room to spread out and play. Upstairs are two very nicely recently remodeled bathrooms and bedrooms. At night we kept the sliding doors in the bedrooms open to the small balconies so that we could listen to the waves and loons on the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you need and a nice modern gas stove. We especially appreciated the plastic cups and plates for the kids.Outside, the beach is literally steps away from the cabin. Sandy and secluded, it very gradually gets deeper, making it perfect for swimmers of all skills and comfort levels. The water is crystal clear. Rick nicely arranged to have kayaks and PFDs available for us and we really enjoyed exploring the lake this way. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire at night, taking in beautiful sunsets and playing a lot of family games. It was a very special trip and hard to say goodbye - this is a cabin you will want to rent year after year."
"The cabin and its surroundings are beautiful. It is one of the best cabins my wife and I have stayed in in Maine. It was very clean and welcoming. Mosquitos, common in the evening in Maine, were abundant at night. The 3rd night there was cool enough to turn off the AC and open the deck doors to listen to the loons calling. Unfortunately, there was a 7-inch gash in the screen preventing us from doing just that. I reported the gash to Brandon who was unaware of the tear. The cabin is only a short ride to Baxter State Forests Togue Pond gate making this place very convenient for a visit to the park. We highly recommend this cabin and our hosts."
"Great property! Super peaceful spot on the lake with easy access for swimming and kayaking. House is very well stocked and everything is new and clean. Beds were super comfy. Heat pumps keep the temps cool on hot days. We swam, paddled, grilled, made smores on the fire pit and had movie and game nights. 10/10!!"
"Amazing property at a pristine location overlooking the lake. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay, especially helping us out when there was an unexpected snow storm that led to power outage. Brought us over buckets and flashlights and offered us to move to another property. We loved this property so much that we decided to stay on. Cannot recommend this property and Kim and Renee enough. Would love to visit again"
