「The apartment is large and clean and well appointed. Elevator access. Location is in a small square across the river from the old town. Not in the old town as indicated on the VRBO map. Just a few minutes walk across the old bridge to the church and the market. Limited parking in Bilbao. I used the train station - expensive, and dodgey. The immediate area up from San Fransisko street is a bit dodgey. Exercise caution when passing through this area.」

Host Begona was extremely responsive and helpful. Checking in was very easy - keys were available. 「My son (20) and I spent 3 nights here. The space was nicely configured with two good- sized separate bedrooms and a complete kitchen (with clothes and dishwashers, large fridge) and living room. It was clean and recently renovated. The metro stop is right out the back door, just 10-15 minute to central Bilbao Quiet place to sleep away from the city center but an easy commute. Local shops had everything we needed. A perfect and affordable option, especially for a small family. 」
