Great location

Loved this little duplex. The space was nice, and fireplace was a nice touch. Highly recommend you walk down the road to Kelly's. Bir Castle grounds are an easy walk away, and well worth an afternoon.

Second stay

We stayed for the second time at this house. It made for a nice location to host a birthday party for our 2-year-old grandson. The house is comfortable and supplied better than many properties with bathroom and kitchen amenities. The location could not be more convenient to town and the castle.

mixed results

The location is lovely with quiet surroundings, and is inexpensive. However, we encountered several problems. Upon walking into the unit it was apparent that only the middle of the floors were swept. Dirt, not just dust, hair clods, food particles, etc. were noticeable in every room. The door leading onto the patio was inoperable. Several light bulbs needed replacing. The washer/dryer did not function correctly. The washer worked if the door was shut just so, but the dryer did not work at all and we had to take wet laundry to the outside laundromat behind the grocery store. The owner does not live in Ireland, but did agree to refund the cleaning deposit and did so in a timely manner.

Wonderful!

Great location off a quiet little alley. Caroline was helpful and always quick to respond. We hated to leave! Will likely come back to Birr and stay here again. Wonderful.

A quiet secluded property right in the middle of town and very accessible to Birr Castle. Comfortable and cosy. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem

We loved the home. It worked really well for 6 people and the property manager was very helpful and responsive. A little bit of a challenge to find the house as it was down a narrow lane but well worth it.
