"Very handy - as in right across the street - from the Royal Gorge Route Railroad station and Veterans/Centennial Parks. Though a step back toward the old roadside motor hotels, the small room was a perfect landing spot for a one-night stay! Very reasonable, clean, and well maintained."
Rustic Cozy Cabin at the base of Greenhorn Mountain.
10/10 Excellent
"This place is truly magical & special. It’s even more beautiful in person than in the photos—you really have to experience it to understand the serenity and charm. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, which made the stay feel incredibly comfortable and intentional.
The creek behind the cabin was my favorite part—so peaceful and grounding. I came on a solo trip from sunny Los Angeles, and this stay completely recharged me.
I’m leaving with a full heart and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect and reset. Be seeing you soon!!"
"The room was ok, the bed sheets were dingy and stained. We used the bed spread to lay over the stained couch before we would sit on it. The pool was in disrepair. The minute I walked in I knew I would not be staying for the breakfast, a few carafes on the folding table did not look appealing. There was a broken window on the second floor with blood all over the curtains, I felt like I was staying in the murder hotel."
"The kitchen is very well stocked and the views are amazing. The cabin is very cozy at night, with the wind howling around the house. Overall a great place to stay!"
"The only reason that I didn't give them four stars is that there was so much light on the front of the building that you could not sit on the chairs and see any stars. I assumed that a place called dark skies would have lights that are motion sensored or more dim so that you could take in the night sky, so we walked about a block down the road to see the stars. Also, the floors are very thin and we could hear every footstep from the neighbors upstairs. The room itself was fine. Very clean and lots of windows. The bed was really hard, but some people like this. "
