「Driveway is very sloped. My van’s wheels skied. It would be a little scary for a new driver. Apple map helped me to drive in/out from the property. Overall, great place to stay . 」

「Decided on a last minute getaway and were lucky enough to find this little apartment A unit in an older home, very compact and clean .We walked to all food and drink options all weekend. A short drive to hike nearby Lookout Mountain on Friday morning. Safe location and I’d come here even as a single woman. Loved it and will be back! Note there are stairs and no elevator to our room but there were downstairs rooms. Pet friendly. Kitchenette and fridge. New shower in tiny bathroom. 」

「My neighborhood is WWIII during the first week of July and my dog gets very angry at the sound so I was looking for somewhere to get away from it all. This was that place. We had a wonderful time hiking Chimney Rock and walking around Asheville. Great location. Close to everything and quiet. Definitely will make it a yearly trip. 」

「This is a wonderful house for a large family vacation. We had a group of 15 and there was more than enough room for us to be comfortable. There was a power outage in Black Mountain. I emailed the host and water and flashlights were delivered to us very quickly. The best part of the trip was sitting on the porch looking at that beautiful view. We would definitely stay here again.」

「Our family of five, all adults, and furry members enjoyed the location, quietness, hot tub and visiting the Black Mountain Sourwood Festival. The location of the property is great. The drive up rocky driveway with some ruts was like an added theme ride, but do-able. The cabin itself is very roomy and for our short stay was very nice. 」

「The cottage was very cute and comfortable. For a one bedroom cottage it was very roomy. It was just myself staying, but it could accommodate more. The host was easy to get in touch with. It was very good if you’re traveling with a pet because I loved the fenced in private yard. It was cool and shady and a nice place to sit even in warmer weather. It is just minutes from downtown Black Mountain and you could walk there if you wanted to. My dog and I also enjoyed walking at lake Tomahawk Park,...

「This house was a perfect size for our family. The kids could watch tv in the back room, I could sit and read in the front room, the pool was huge, although the weather wasn't conducive for swimming, the fire pit in the front was a great spot for sipping wine and creating s'mores. A couple of the appliances needed maintenance but, hey, that happens. The house was well-appointed and we had a great time there. 」
