“Chaffcutters cottage is a delightful place to stay.The cottage is comfortably furnished and spotless.The surrounding garden is enjoyable and the views over the countryside are beautiful.”

“A neat tidy older style cottage. Cast iron fire place the highlight and was the centre of a smallish cozy lounge room. Great for our winter getaway. Beds were comfortable and warm and heaters were provided in each bed room. Location was perfect, walking distance to everything in town. Pet friendly and perfect for our fur baby with a huge backyard. Listed as 1 and 1/2 bathrooms but 2nd toilet was outside and we didn’t use being a winter getaway. ”

“We loved our time in Bathurst staying at Rose Cottage. The central location of the lovely historical cottage was perfect. We loved how the old fireplaces have been utilised as features and the working fireplace in the big sunroom out the back was great! ”

“This cottage was perfect for us as a couple. It was simply, but comfortably furnished, with a well equipped kitchen and completely renovated bathroom. It’s a short walk to the main street, parks etc. Parking out the front or round the back. We loved sitting in the leafy backyard with a cuppa. Things to know: the kitchen only had a single sink, which meant washing up often (no dishwasher), but that didn’t bother us - there are tons of good restaurants in Orange. Also, if you’re not good with……

“What a cosy home in winter this was. With zero degrees outside the house was toasty inside with all the luxury mod cons you could wish for. Immaculately clean with great furnishings. Heated floor in the bathrooms and ducted air throughout. Ability to park off the street too. We will definitely book this again. Thank you to the owners. ”

“Clean gorgeous comfortable cottage and great location with lots of places to enjoy the wine bought from the local wineries. ”

“Isolated and very quiet. Lots of sheep surrounding the cottage. Very easy access to the Carcoar River Yarn Festival held that weekend.”

“This property was super cozy. My partner and I booked over the King's birthday weekend, looking for a cozy getaway and this was perfect. The cottage is situated in a Olive tree farm with sheep roaming nearby - they were so cute!! The cottage was warm and heated well, depsite it be -5 degrees and snowing outside! It is a fair way from Orange, about a 25 min drive each way, but the drive is beautiful. We especially enjoyed the trips into Milthorpe which was only a 10 min drive and absolute……

“My friend and I just had an amazing long weekend in this beautiful cottage. Just 5 ish minutes from Millthorpe and close to an array of wineries, it was the perfect location. Super quiet we enjoyed the indoor gas fire as well as the fire pit outside - kept us warm on the chilly 0 degree nights!Well equipped kitchen and modern fit out we loved all the tiny touches. The garden was lovely and plenty of places to sit. Loved watching the stars and seeing the Milky Way as well as watching the sunrise……

“Elizabeth thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast goodies including freshly laid eggs were a real treat and we loved sitting in the early morning sun as it streamed through the north facing windows. The property itself is so peaceful and quiet with a beautiful outlook. ”
