Peaceful Stay

This was a wonderful place to celebrate our 50th Anniversary! Made some sweet memories!From the nice park like grounds to all the comforts of home, not to mention the wonderful hot tub! The place was really nice. Easy to work with management and a great location to take in Top of the Rock, Dogwood Canyon, Table Rock Lake, and of course, Branson! We can’t say enough about how quiet and peaceful it was! Thank you

Great place to get off the beaten path, close to Branson and table rock lake.

Great stay loved the property just had a small issue getting in to our rental. Loved the great room and the hot tub was awesome.

Perfect getaway for the whole family even the 4-legged ones

This hideaway was booked for our honeymoon and of course we had to take our two four legged babies and I think they had almost as much fun as we did exceeded our expectations in every way!!!! The hot tub was so relaxing and romantic!!!

Peaceful Retreat

We stayed at "The Hiding Place" and had a fantastic trip. My wife and daughter had never been to Branson, so this was the perfect combination of serenity and convenience for our family. It was nice being away from the busyness in the evenings to relax under the stars in the hot tub. The location was easy to get to and the grounds were very well maintained. We tried our luck with the Treasure hunt and succeeded with 3 out of five treasures, we couldn't find the entrance to the trail near the play area. All in all we had a fantastic time and my family wants to return again soon.

Little get away

The place was nice. Looked just like the pictures inside and out. Only problem it wasn't private enough. I thought with 40 acres the homes would be farther apart. Wanted our dogs to be able to run free. They couldn't and we didn't have much quite time outside. Everyone was very nice. I would stay at here again with a group. It just wasn't the private getaway we wanted at this time.

Quaint cabin

This property was nice and quaint. However there is another house right behind this house. It did not bother us as the people who were staying in that cabin were always gone when we were there. Beds were nice and comfy (even the pull out mattresses). Check in process is wrong on VRBO website. There is a lock on the door that you enter your last 4 digits of your phone number and then hit star. Also church in and check out time is wrong on VRBO. Check in time starts at 3:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am. We had fun at this property and it is close to attractions (Long Creek marina is just 10 minutes away).

Perfection!

We have stayed in many VRBO properties, but we are especially picky when spending a Christmas away from home. This entire property sets the bar extremely high! The love and care that the owners, Margie and Bruce, have put into the property is unparalleled. They were extremely responsive to anything we needed, but gave us complete autonomy the rest of our stay. The Hiding Place/Carriage House was so cozy that we only left one time during the week. The Christmas decorations, hot tub and pool table were fabulous. We always find ourselves critiquing VRBO properties among ourselves and we really came up with only one small suggestion since we gave high marks all around. We'd suggest having a few cheap hangers in the closets which certainly isn't much of a complaint! We are looking forward to renting at least one of the other properties another time of the year. Even though there are 4 properties on the grounds, each one is secluded from others. I was reluctant to give such a glowing review because then "the secret is out", but they are among the most deserving owners we've ever come across. Thank you for sharing!

Great house in a beautiful location, but not great service from management company - let them know no ice in house or trays, asked us to keep looking and when said none so they said maybe they could get by that evening or the next day, we had to go find a place to buy ice, assuming next day we would have trays returned after all day golfing and nothing, had to reach out again and they said would try to get some trays that evening, finally we just asked them to deliver ice that night which they did do. Also, gravel parking area very difficult to pull in and out of with no turnaround, wish we had our truck - needs to be rebalanced due to ditches from rainfall.

Quiet, relaxing stay!

My husband is a pastor, on call 24/7, we needed a little time away to rest and relax. We invited some missionary friends to join us so they could do the same. The Hiding Place did not disappoint! We could read our Bibles and study inside of on the patio in peace and quiet. It was wonderful. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!!!

I wish I could give a better review. Property location is great with beautiful trees and natural surroundings. The problem was with the cleanliness of the cabin. In the kitchen there were 2 wine glasses that had lipstick on them There was a pot we pulled out from the cabinet that had food still stuck on the entire bottom. The drawer under the oven was covered in food crumb and pieces of food. Living room, there was dust strings hanging from the ceiling Table where Tv was had thick dust on both tv and table. All the blinds were covered in dust. The couch needs to be replaced. When you sit on the middle section you would sink down and could feel the bed springs. The bathroom off the living area had old used toilet paper under the sink cabinet which sat off the floor and also old lotion bottle The sink was very slow to drain. I will have to say that the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Hopeful these things will be addressed. It could really be a very nice place to stay.

Nice Retreat

Family stay with sweet surprises

This location is perfect for a family of three or four. The property is well maintained so you get to enjoy all of it. The pool table never stopped getting use. The coziness made it perfect for a few days of hiding away.

Peaceful getaway

Love this cottage. So comfortable with big living area including huge fireplace and the pool table was so fun to play where we didn’t have to go downstairs or in a garage to use it. Bedrooms were very nice and accommodating. Kitchen was just right and had everything we could need. Hot tub was huge, clean and just the right temp. Overall, we didn’t want to leave and each night we couldn’t wait to get back to cottage to enjoy the peace.
