The home itself was lovely. Unfortunately, noted a strong dog urine smell on the living room rug, an odor in the wash room and the trash can we were required to use had very old trash left in it that had clearly been there for a while.

Girl’s trip

We had a fabulous time. The house was beautiful, the beds were pretty comfortable and the hot tub was great. My only complaint is the GPS doesn’t lead you to the cabin and the drive is terrifying down a giant hill.

Thanksgiving Trip

House is great. We loved the wood burning fireplace and the hot tub. Kitchen appliances are well stocked. However, be prepared to deal with a treacherous driveway. Luckily, we didn’t have to deal with any poor weather but if you did you would have to have 4 Wheel drive to get in and out.

Happy Place Home with Vacasa

Very cute home. Boho decor was adorable. Inside was clean. All necessary amenities on hand. However, we arrived to find key pad not working. Deadbolt lock spins round & round. Called Vacasa #. They were helpful in directing us to key in lockbox. Upon opening door we were smacked with sweltering heat. A/C WAS OUT! Called Vacasa # again. Told us a technician would contact us but would not give us a time frame. We never heard from a technician but my handyman hubby discovered the batteries in the A/C thermostat were dead. We replaced those with our own batteries which we robbed from my travel mirror. Cabin is VERY REMOTE! Must have 4-wheel drive to exit VERY STEEP drive.

Great place to stay!

I rented this cabin for a girl's weekend away trip and it was exactly what we needed! The cabin is spacious and clean, providing all necessities for a weekend stay. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary items, the bathrooms provide towels, washcloths and various soaps/shampoo. The hot tub was clean and ready to get in, but bring your own firewood for the fire pit and be aware there aren't outdoor lights. So bring a flashlight! The only downside to the cabin is the driveway. It is a very steep, gravel hill that is rutted out and ONLY an all wheel vehicle can make it up. There is an alternate route in the back side of the cabin, but it still requires an all wheel vehicle to get out. We parked at a different cabin and walked in/out. Just beware! That was the only downside to the cabin at all.

Very Disappointing - left early

There was a strong smell of spices when we walked in - like someone just cooked. I could tell almost instantly this place wasn't really clean. We checked in at night and lighting is poor/minimal, so I couldn't tell the depth until the morning. Dust, dirt, crumbs in the corners, along the baseboards, underneath living room furniture and next to nights stands in bedrooms, windows were filthy with dust, cobwebs in corners and overhead lights. Mildew and orange residue on shower curtains. No one had really cleaned this house in a LONG time. Furniture outside was filthy - table covered in old pollen, dirt. Chairs/couch hadn't been vacuumed or blown. I looked for vacuum or other cleaning supplies so I could clean - but there are none. The front right burner on stove didn't work - found that out while cooking. In both bathrooms we found that the lock on the bathtub drain didn't work and there were no stoppers, so my 2 year old couldn't take a bath. I contacted Vacasa within the first few hours of us waking up the 1st day. They continued to tell us someone would contact us, and they may be able to send out cleaners. I continued to follow up throughout the day and kept getting the same message - someone will be in touch, but NO ONE EVER WAS. Lastly, the house is renovated - but this is a lipstick on a pig situation. You cant tell from the pictures, but its obvious when you arrive. We ended up leaving a day early due to the lack of contact and issues. Refund warranted!

Lovely house but VACASA customer service failed

We really wanted to give this house a good review but due to lack of promised support from VACASA, we realized the only way another guest wont have similar issues is to post on a review unfortunately. Directions are too vague. Google maps shows two Anderson Roads and pins another house as our destination. Unpaved road looks like it ends. We first went down the wrong Anderson Road and stopped when we saw Private Property No Trespassing signs. Called customer service and she said to keep going and disregard signs. Knowing rural Georgia homeowners carry shot guns, we didn't listen. We returned to bottom of mountain, a home owner told us follow up to Cherry Lake again. When we still couldn't find it off Anderson Rd, called customer service 3rd time and realized they only read the same information and told us we were wrong because the map shows where the house is. I have photos of the route and map that shows the right way to go. He submitted an urgent ticket for a local person to contact us and guaranteed we would receive a call within 30 minutes. After sitting on the road for 45 minutes, my husband is disabled, I got out of the car and started hiking through people's driveways and finally found the house. We didn't get a call from the local manager until the day before we checked out. She was doing a courtesy call and said she was not working that day and our ticket must have been sent to the wrong person but she was glad we found the house. No empathy and no accountability.
