A really lovely, peaceful and comfortable cottage that was an ideal base for walking or cycling the Camel Trail and exploring the nearby Cornish countryside. We really enjoyed our short break in the cottage and would certainly book again if we come back to Cornwall. The cottage was very clean and cosy with a very well equipped kitchen area and a large comfy couch to relax on in the evenings . The WiFi was adeqaute for our needs and there is a TV with DVD player available but we did not use them. The private garden was a home to many garden birds, Song Thrush, Blackbirds, Robins etc and a family of rabbits, we also heard Tawny Owls in the adjoining woods. There was plenty of information about the house and local area and Richard was very helpful and friendly.Bulls Cottage is situated at the end of a long and winding drive accessed via a wooden gate that a couple of other houses use so be prepared to the possibility that you may meet another vehicle on the drive coming in the opposite direction. It is also advisable to make sure you bring provisions milk, bread, butter etc as the nearest shop is possibly in Bodmin and there is no welcome pack provided, although a really nice bottle of wine was a welcome surprise. The cottage is well placed for visiting some of Cornwalls well known attractions. If you enjoy homes and gardens we would really recommend a visit to Lanhydrock House and The Lost Gardens of Heligan and also a visit up to the standing stones near the tiny hamlet of Minions.
