The weeds and grass were , covering the stairs to the house. The parking space area was NOT 2 spaces . The house smell so moldy. The stairs were crazy steep. DANGEROUS You wanted the renter to start the laundry and dishes. We did not come to do the cleanup. Nice area. Clean and comfortable bedding.

Dirty and bugs in the ceiling

Didn’t love anything. Left after the first night because the sound of bugs eating the interior of the ceiling was unbearable. I negotiated a refund of the remaining 5 out of 6 nights but after fees only got 50% of the total rental back. Never stay here.

Not clean and so dusty we could not sleep.. The stairs are dangerous! We left three days early and called Vacasa. We had to clean the tub.

Beautiful Cottage! Horrible Management Communication!

This is a beautiful cottage. If you are looking for privacy this is the place. You will need a vehicle to go anywhere but everything is only a short drive. The internet/WiFi is great. The downstairs has two sitting areas, dining room, kitchen, bath with shower/combo utility with nice washer/dryer. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms and bath with tub/shower. Note the stairs are extremely steep without gate or rail at the top. The property management company sends canned emails, nothing on VRBO. We had a few issues that I sent through VRBO as normal and did not ever receive a response through VRBO or email. BoothBay is a beautiful place and this is a very nice place.

Stuffy cottage with moldy bathrooms

Upon arrival and inspection of the house we decided to cut short our vacation and drive back to NYC right away. The entire cottage was stuffy as it has no AC and all windows were closed. To make matters worse, the upstairs bathroom had mold which we didn't feel safe to stay around. This was our second rental with Vacasa during this summer vacation, and the first one was just as bad. The "Penthouse" in Bar Harbor suffers from sewage smells, and a dirty kitchen in which half of the appliances don't work. If you're looking for a fun, clean and relaxing vacation rental stay away from Vacasa as far as you can.
