「If you want a peaceful, quiet stay in nature by the sea in a well-designed resort and aren't bothered by being more self-sufficient (ex. lack of service) then this is a great place to stay.
Stay: 3 nights
The hotel, concept, area and design is beautiful. It is located in a quiet, private area surrounded by nature with the sea just steps from where you sleep. Check-in was seamless, the cottage was very cute and well designed and sized, and the sea and beach was breathtaking.
However, sadly,...

「Pros: The apartment is right in the midst of the old town of Orbetello so we were able to walk everywhere. There's a grocery store within a block and multiple restaurants, including one right across the street. Our host, Barbara, arranged for family to pick us up at the train station and to bring us back when we were leaving. We felt that was going above and beyond and really appreciated it. Having both wi-fi and laundry was a huge help.」
