“Die Zimmer sind nicht mehr in einem guten Zistand. Es war mal ein sehr gutes Hotel jedoch ist das 20 Jahre her. Fast alle Zimmer haben Wasserschäden und schwarzen Schimmel an den Wänden. ( Gardine mal zur Seite schieben)”

“We stayed at the Maseria Santa Lucia for several days. Our room was entirely built with tuff stone and very stylishly furnished. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was very plentiful, coffee variations were served according to our wishes, and the selection of cakes was fantastic. The Maseria has a pool and a spa. Unfortunately, the spa can only be used privately for 1.5 hours for a fee of €100.”

“Really nice, welcoming place. Very well-located for the centre of Matera (a short walk), free parking - probably *the* best hotel to stay in when visiting Matera. Loses 'full marks' since the air-conditioning (clima) appeared ineffective, and the shower was very difficult to use without getting water all over the rest of the bathroom.”

“The service was great. We parked at the parking lot recommended by the hotel, and there was a free shuttle that took us to the hotel. We stayed in a separate room, which had a bit of a damp smell. The room was about a 5-minute walk from the reception and the breakfast/spa area — it took a few time to remember the route. But getting lost in Matera is also a kind of romance.”
