“No issues with the host or booking. The place was poorly stocked, not kid friendly, no games or anything, steep stairs (bunkbeds typically implies the place is kid friendly), really old and uncomfortable furniture without enough seating in very tight main areas. The bathroom had no soaps for the shower so we had to go out and buy it. They only give you 2 pods for the dishwasher and 2 garbage bags so it was hard to do cleaning throughout our stay. When you pay as much as we did, you expect more.……

Our host was very responsive to a few questions we had, and added several sweet personal touches to our stay that made the house cozy and welcoming, especially for my kids. We hiked the Catawba Trail, spent some time in nearby Black Mountain, and made s'mores by the firepit. It was a great weekend getaway for a family. ”

“Hummingbird Hill is beautiful!!! Great place that matched the photos and description perfectly. You will be impressed as soon as you arrive in the area as it is situated in a gated, very nice community where you will feel very safe. It had everything you could need, including fully stocked dishes and cooking supplies…television in every room and WiFi is awesome even if you are in the mountains. It’s in the middle of everything so Asheville, Lake Lure and even Banner Elk are drivable. But……

“This cabin is in a perfect location, with stunning a long views and an outdoor hot tub. The pros include wide open floor plan, great shower, plenty of linens and easy to use entertainment. The cons are the whole place feels a little bit shabby, with all the woodwork caulked but not finished, lots of stinkbugs inside, and poorly equipped, mis-matched kitchen gear. Foot plate on the stove had fallen off. There was firewood for the fire but no working lighter. Just little stuff. I would……

“My buddy and I get our families together every few years. We decided to try out Lake Lure this year. The Lake Lure Oasis in the Woods was the perfect place! We had 11 guests to include 4 adults and 7 kids from 3 to 16 years of age. Chris’ place was plenty spacious for us and very clean. Chris was very responsive. Upon arrival, we realized the microwave wasn’t working and Chris had a replacement brought to the house the same day. If you have a large family or friend group this place would be……

“When we got to the property it was beautiful but the outdoor was a little clean the girls were a little dirty we had to clean them the porch was dust with pollen and the kitchen dish were were also a little dirty the upstairs bathroom shower was really dirty everything eles was awesome I would stay again here ”
