While the neighborhood itself was nice, this rental was overall a huge disappointment. The listing is very misleading. The building is mostly filled with university students, so it felt more like staying in a dorm than a vacation rental, which was never disclosed.The apartment was in poor condition: everything had been painted over so many times that doors would stick, the microwave door was barely hanging on after being duct-taped as a “fix,” and there were mold spots visible in some areas. Cleanliness was also a major issue. We found hair on the towels and in the beds, and the space in general felt dirty and neglected.On top of that, basic amenities were missing. There were no tissues, no bath mat for the shower, etc. When our flight was cancelled and we asked about adjusting our stay, the hosts were unaccommodating and unhelpful.In person, this place is much worse than the photos suggest. While it might work for young students just looking for a crash pad in the city, it is absolutely not suitable for a family stay. I would not recommend this rental unless you know exactly what you’re signing up for.
