What we liked: the price, location, friendly staff, our fridge and microwave worked great, the sheets actually fit the beds, the quick response by the local fire dept. when alarm was triggered, and it is apparent that the owner is investing in the property.
What we didn't like: a lot of stairs, our room was a bit too small for 4 people, the toilet seat was loose, a bit of blood spattered on the bathroom walls, and we had ants. Also, Expedia forgot to mention a deposit was needed: $50 on a credit card or $100 cash.
Doubling the deposit amount when using cash left us leery and wondering if we would really get it back. So this worry hung over our heads during our whole trip. But, we DID get it back. If you didn't smoke or damage the room, you get your deposit back.
