“Jane is friendly and sincere. We were impressed by her welcome tea while we did the check in. She actively provided advice on the choice of restaurants in the area and helped us book a table for dinner at Northern Sands. Jane and Richard are nice guys with their lovely cat, Lona. We did have a happy time there. Cheers.”

“Das haus liegt sehr ruhig auf einem Bauernhof. So richtige ländliche idylle kommt aufgrund des steinbruchs direkt neben dem bauernhof aber nicht auf. Die lage ist sehr isoliert und zum nächsten supermarkt ist es schon ein Stück. Dafür hat man die meiste Zeit seine ruhe. Das haus war sauber geputzt. Nur der staubsauger, um selber zwischendrin mal sauber zu machen roch sehr muffelig und der staubbeutel war voll. Der ofen und der herd funktionieren mit gas. Bei uns hat der zünder nicht……

“Literally in the middle of nowhere but if you like that sort of thing this is the place to be. We loved it for a few nights. House was great, road to get there was not but we have 4 wheel drive and our kids thought it was hilarious.”

“A friendly welcome awaited us at this beautiful property. Our room ( lodge) was stunning. Warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fell asleep to the sound of the river roaring down beside the lodge. Breakfast was served by efficient, very friendly staff and was delicious. Would definetly recommend and hope to return.”

“Stay at the Park when I’m in the area for work. Close to the gym, Tesco. Staff are nice rooms clean. ”

“I loved the remoteness of this wee cottage. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, with lots of lovely walks, then this is ideal. The cottage is powered by a generator, which you can hear but soon get used to. Make sure you bring everything you need, it’s a fair trek to the nearest shop! My dog ran around the forest all day long and slept all night and I chilled out with a glass or two of wine. I hope to visit again in the not too distant future.”

“Lovely hotel, free parking, friendly staff at checkin. Room very clean but absolutely no look out.. looks straight onto a wall. Maybe worth reading the small print and book a sea view, I wish we did. ”

“The staff at the hotel were delightful and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and gave you lots of choices, including fresh fruit with yogurt. The rooms were clean, a little small, but we spent very little time there, only to sleep. ”

“Caution when booking. Place is filthy. The owner comes round and warns you of all the things that are broken and how poorly put together everything is. Even that if we used a plug in heater and water heater at same time the place could blow up. This was after an hour and a half of driving up the worst dirt track. Never have I booked somewhere and left to go and find somewhere else but I did this time. Owner knew it wasn't fit for holiday makers since as soon as we opened the door to him he asked……
