The Lodges Capilano University Squamish

8/10 Good
"Lovely accommodation. Clean. Bonus - common room where we played cards. Great view. Location was good, a good workout to get anywhere. Everything’s at the top of a hill. Check in was the downside. The clerk started our check in then answered a call and went on the computer with another guest. 😲😴 Customer service 101 - deal with the customer standing in front of you. We had had a very long and tiring travel day and did not appreciate this interlude. Absolutely no information given on check in re:wifi, breakfast, walking paths etc and no information in the room despite these being mentioned as amenities. Phoned for wifi password but wasn’t able to get on it. Didn’t feel particularly welcome."

"The main kitchen was really well set up and we enjoyed being able to use it, as well as the excellent kitchenette in room 302. Small suggestions for the main kitchen would be having staff communicate to the visitors how to find and use the compost bin and how to use the recycling instead of putting everything in the garbage. The clean dish drying towels were also hard to locate but were well stocked. The beds in the hotel style room 302 are uncomfortable and will hopefully get replaced soon because that room is great for couples and small families. Take earplugs in case your room is facing the highway. Otherwise we liked everything about it- the public rooms were cozy, the outdoor spaces were great, the BBQ, hammock, games, etc., all great! Guests were very good about the quiet hours and parking was adequate. Except for highway noise on one side, you can't beat the location. We'd stay again."

Bright & Spacious Riverside House in Quiet Squamish Neighbourhood W/Hot Tub

"Where do I even begin? I booked Sylvia's property for a getting ready spot for me and my bridesmaids, and the house was truly a dream come true. There was so much space, the property was clean, and uniquely bridal. We ended up using the gorgeous kitchen for our breakfast buffet, and then we're all able to do our hair and makeup in the spacious bathroom. It was exactly what I imagined my wedding morning to look like! All throughout the process, the communication and check in process with Sylvia was smooth. She was so kind and accommodating. :)If you're planning a group trip (especially anything bridal-related) in Squamish, I would highly recommend Sylvia and her beautiful home. 10 out of 10 experience! Thanks Sylvia!"

"Lou’s cabin was perfect for our family. It’s a rustic cabin with modern amenities. The back yard was very inviting and we were able to use the grill and play bocce ball. It was in town right next to an urban trail system, but still felt private. A bear walked right through the front yard one evening!"
