“We loved our stay at Stone Wheel cottage. The property is lovely and spacious, the pool is nice, the owners are very helpful and we loved the village. Look forward to returning again in the future.”

“Nice hotel, basic rooms”

“Property was very pet friendly and staff were wonderful. There were however issues with the room which impacted our stay. The mattress was very hard and pillows soft and lumpy. Due to this our quality of sleep was very poor. The rooms did not come with a small fridge which would have been helpful as chilled food had to be taken to reception each time. There was no ironing board in the room and no telephone so each time you needed something you had to take a long walk to reception and back. Apart……

“For a chain hotel in a rural town, this hotel provides what you expect. The room was comfortable and the hotel was in reasonable condition. Staff were friendly and the check in process is very easy. The location of the hotel was just a 10 min walk to the centre of town and local bus connections. Wifi was free, but was a bit patchy at times.”

“Heythrop is nestled in the Cotswods, in and around a magnificent 18thc manor. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous building. Plenty to occupy. Lots of options to eat drink while the time away, not forgetting Spa and golf options. Staff are very helpful, rooms are comfy. ”

“Didn't get my cide to get into property had to call hotels.com. The stairs are very awkward with small children. Heating Didn't work correctly gor first three days. Kitchen needs more cutlery ( knife & spoon). ”

“Pictures do not do this gem of a place justice. Check in was a breeze, the pub is quirky, but the accommodation was fantastic, quiet, comfortable and clean....all wrapped up in a 300 year old stone building. Such a beautiful spot, probably our fave and would love to return.”

“This is my first review of anything ever - product, place, airline, anything! My stay at The George deserves a review because it was so perfect. Amazing food, lovely room, slept well, great breakfast. Simply nothing negative to say! Staff are great and I will stay again if I get the chance. My only feedback would be to suggest soft close toilet seats in the rooms 😬”
