Beautifully renovated home with lots of rooms to relax in and the kitchen has everything you need to create delicious meals. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of bathrooms! We would recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in Brandon, you will not be disappointed!!
We have rented a lot of houses and this has been voted #1 by my family. The kitchen was super well stocked with cookware, plates, utensils and an awesome oven/stove to cook on. The pool table, darts, and shuffleboard entertained us for hours. The cozy living room provided family time in comfort. The house is beautiful - thank you for a wonderful experience in a super cute town.
The house is gorgeous with beautiful accents that tie the house to the town history such as marble, cast iron, etc. It was nice to be a short walk to the restaurants in town and the grocery store. We enjoyed the games. The house worked out great for our family events in town. We are already planning our next stay.
Once again, loved our time in Brandon. The house is perfect for family to gather, play, eat around the giant dining room table, and then take a walk in the snow down the quaint main street. Perfect VT experience.
We had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay at your place again. It was so wonderful to have all of our adult children in one place cooking Thanksgiving dinner together vs everyone showing up with their favorite dishes at the end of the day. Music, laughter and mixing spoons! We had so much fun while the little ones danced and played together. All of the games were great and our 6 year old grandson even learned how to play Chess. Each day was filled with pool, darts and shuffle board competitions. It was perfect being able to walk out of the house and next door for dinner and shopping the other days. We appreciate you guys hosting our family! Happy Holidays!
This home in Brandon is a real gem! Absolutely perfect for our 3 generation get-together — clean, comfortable, beautifully furnished and decorated with fantastic kitchen and living spaces too. Great location in town with short walk to market when we wanted to eat in, or restaurants when we chose to eat out. Definitely recommend!
This home was phenomenal! It was gorgeous and had so many great amenities. Such a great location to downtown Brandon- you can walk everywhere! Can't wait to return next year!
Perfect place to celebrate my daughter’s graduation!
The house was perfect in every way! We had the best setting to get together with family to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Middlebury College. The home was set-up perfectly to entertain a large group. Beautifully decorated and super clean. Every attention to detail was met. The very best vrbo we’ve ever stayed in.
Three couples stayed in a large, comfortable, totally renovated historic home in Brandon. There was plenty of room for getting together and for privacy. The kitchen was well stocked for food preparation. Easy to walk around town check out the restaurants and shops.
We use Vrbo a fair amount and this was definitely one of the best all around. It was clean and comfortable, without being cluttered. The location was absolutely perfect. We loved the shuffleboard, PacMan arcade game and pool table. We had everything we needed. I am only sorry that it had to be such a short stay.
We were looking for a place halfway between Middleberry and Rutland to see old haunts of my sons. We had a marvelous time in lances house. It was well appointed well stocked and just gorgeous actually comfortable too. we played horseshoes and walked back to the creek and generally enjoyed the lawn and flowers.
The house was incredible - in wonderful shape for such an old home! Both beautiful and comfortable. The location was perfect and the amenities were terrific. It was perfect for our stay and bonus - we know the area so well that we knew the prior home owners! We had one small complaint - the ice maker in the refrigerator was not working. Normally this might not be that much of a problem, but it’s mid-summer and very hot, and we have a big family. Not the end of the world, but frustrating.
I stay here each year when I visit my son at Middlebury. I have written longer reviews previously but wanted to make sure that everyone reading knows how great this house is! A+ for cleanliness, location, amenities and host is always available if needed (but we have never needed him because everything is always perfect)!
This was a wonderful property and the house included everything we needed. It was absolutely gorgeous and extremely well equipped. The kitchen is huge, which my wife loved, and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The whole house was very clean too. We enjoyed the ability to walk to the many shops and restaurants that were only minutes away and even saw the parade in the town square out front. We had an excellent stay at No. 28 Park St.
One of my grandsons (age 10) summed up 28 Park: “This is paradise!” Everything you need is here. A short walk in a very pleasant town to restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, art galleries, etc. The property was clean, comfortable, well appointed and spacious.
Lance was the best. He was communicative, kind, and accommodating. We loved our stay.
Check in and communications with Lance were quick and easy. Beautiful home and grounds…wish we could have stayed and enjoyed the house more! Stayed with my family of five and another couple to attend a wedding at the Lilac Inn. Very comfortable and lots to do at the house. We enjoyed the shuffleboard, pool table, and darts. Wished we had time for horseshoes and hanging out in the yard and sunroom. Overall, a nicely appointed house and great stay. Thanks, Lance!
We first found this wonderful property and Owner when looking for a place to stay for a state golf championship that was being held nearby. We have come back for three years straight for tournaments as this impressive house and surroundings create a magical environment and a great way to enjoy once another's company in beautiful surroundings and a bit of luxury. The tournament cycle is over so the group is busy looking to create new reasons to come back next year! Thank you to Lance for sharing this special home with us!
You will not be disappointed! Lance has a beautiful home right in downtown Brandon.
We had 7 girls and had plenty of room to park 3 cars in the spacious driveway. We hung out comfortably in the outdoor Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, enjoyed the beautifully big dining room table as well as the large comfy sectional to watch movies and hang with our morning coffees.
There’s no need for your car as it’s an easy walk to the downtown restaurants, shops, Hannaford, Walgreens. Our favorite was 22 Park Eatery… delish!
The house has so much space and was immaculate. The kitchen had everything we needed and more.
Truly a pleasure to be there. You will love the house and the town of Brandon. Just superb!
This is the second time that we rented this property for a family gathering, and it won't be the last. There are plenty of places that have a great kitchen, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. And this place certainly checks all of those boxes. But there are other details that separate this place from the pack. In real estate, it's location, location, location. 28 Park St is literally the center of one of the quaintest villages in all of Vermont. Step off the front porch and you're right in a village green with a gazebo, art galleries, restaurants, grocery store, historic homes, rivers and waterfalls. Not walking distance; literally right outside your door. Walk to the back of your yard and there's the stream. And on site, gather around the fire pit, or in the spacious living room or play horseshoes or shuffleboard or pool or darts. Dine around a table large enough to accommodate your entire group. There's something for everyone. You can spend a week here without ever getting in a car and have the time of your life. And if you do get in your car, gorgeous lakes and rivers and mountains and hikes are minutes away. I can't think of a more perfect place to gather as a family, and we'll do it here again and again and again.....

Wonderful house walking distance from town and plenty of options for food.
Our trip to Brandon and our stay could not have been better! The host, the house, and everything in it were practically perfect in every way. Do yourself a favor and run, don’t walk to the best accommodations you’ll ever experience. We cannot wait to return!!!
