I'd love to recommend this place because its got huge potential, but it seems to be very stuck in the past and reminded me of places I'd stayed as a kid in the 80's. I had no communication from the host or the cottages.com about checking in or checking out, just guessed where the location was and found someone from the farm where the stay was that helped me. Great location on a working farm, but really needs some love to bring it up to a reasonable standard. I had a massive gap in the door to the hut and had to wedge a cushion in there to stop it rattling constantly. Had a length of wood with nails sticking up waiting for me when I got to the hut. This place is in desperate need of solar power. The hut had lights in the roof but looks like the switch had been removed and led strips were on the wall instead. The kitchen smelt of gas the whole stay but was otherwise okay. The bathroom was very basic, the taps were sat loose on the sink rather than being attached and I had to fix the toilet several times. The shower was fine though, although the bathroom could do with a skylight or some kind of window and maybe have a clean as the vent was extremely dirty. Some kind of communication or written instructions about the place would have helped, but the horse that lived in the next field was very friendly and always trotted up to me whenever I crossed through his field on my way out. The people on the farm were very friendly and had lovely friendly dogs. It's a great location.
