Excellent place. Reserve terrific. Staff lovely. Good food. Bed a little uncomfortable and as there is no fresh water, I felt free water should have been on offer. But overall, everyone totally amazing and worth the trip.

The safari guide was highly professional and provided very detailed explanations about each animals. He was genuinely attentive and made a real effort to spot animals and guide us closely, which left a very positive impression. The food was also excellent — delicious, generous in portion size, and very satisfying overall. The only downside was the tap water (including the shower). The water was quite salty, and even after showering, my hair felt dry and not very refreshed. Aside from that minor issue, everything else was outstanding, and I was extremely satisfied with the experience.

Such a lovely safari lodge in a wonderful surrounding. The Karoo ist beautiful in spring. Great safari guides with a great knowledge. Beautiful swimming pool area. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We saw a lot of animals and very close. I can highly recommend this place.

Terrific place to see some amazing animals!

We had a lovely stay at the Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve! Check in was a breeze, the meals were terrific, the room was clean and robes were terrific! The game drives were terrific and Kevin was an excellent guide and extremely knowledgeable. We got some terrific pictures of the wildlife! We would highly recommend.

Had to check multiple times if our room was ready. Things not explained clearly. Had to pay for water in an all inclusive hotel...which seems bizarre as we were told not to drink the tap water at reception. Room was very dirty. Ants all over bathroom, exposed wires. Insects on headboard. Not handtowels. I could go on and on

Beautiful place with beautiful animals and people.

Friendly and personable staff were always helpful and took good care of our friend who was sick for a day. They had someone bring in an electrolyte drink for him to help him recover. The meals were creative and amazing and always ready promptly at the arranged time. Our safari driver was great, able to find all the animals and give us good information without talking too much so we were able to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Overall our experience at Inverdoorn was a posative one, the staff were friendly and accommodating, the game drives were brilliant and our guide Fanwell was very knowledgable and attentive, however before our game drive at 6:30am we were unable to have a shower as there was no hot water, when checking out and paying for extras we were presented with an invoice with numerous drinks and bottles of wine we did not order, upon disputing the extras we were told to contact their head office which we did and still have had no response.

Guaranteed to see the game

Great place to stay and see the big 5 on the early morning and evening game drives. Saw just about every game animal up close including hippos. Safari guide knowledgable and entertaining. Fantastic location in the Karoo encircled by mountains. Clean and comfortable rooms and plenty to eat for dinner, lunch and supper. Great outside shady areas and pool. Staff all very friendly and polite.

Wow! If you are looking for a Safari Preserve within driving distance of Cape Town, this is an excellent choice. Clean rooms, excellent food, three meals a day, friendly staff, large properties with two great daily morning and afternoon game drives. Large property so guides really had to drive around looking for wildlife. Great cheetah reintroducing program, night star excursion in total darkness. This camp is in the wilderness so don’t expect a night life. So glad I spent two nights. I enjoyed everything about Inverdorn!

Inverdoorn Safari

Muito boa a estadia, porém, com alguns pequenos problemas. Em primeiro lugar, os safaris iniciais foram muito aquém do esperado, sendo que os outros carros se aproximaram bastante dos animais e o nosso sempre muito distante. Questionado o guia comentou que tinha que manter uma distância segura pois tínhamos crianças no carro, o que não faz sentido sendo que em 'várias pesquisas verificamos fotos e vídeos de outros safaris com crianças até mais novas muito próximas dos animais. Novamente, após uma nova conversa com o guia, os últimos games foram muito melhores! Outro ponto foi um problema com falta de água no quarto (que deveria ser de nível superior). Problema foi solucionado depois de algumas horas sem água e também sem ar condicionado na habitação. Outro casal também com problemas de água no apartamento no último dia. Por último, fizemos reserva para passeio de e-bike, mas apenas 2 funcionando, sendo que não conseguimos realizar da forma que gostaríamos. Contudo, apesar destas "situações" o staff, local, e ambiente no geral é muito bom e recomendo sim a experiência.

Es war unser zweiter Aufenthalt in einem Game Reserve. Unsere Erwartungen waren zu hoch - verglichen mit dem, was geboten wurde. Unsere Tour wurde von einem nicht sehr versierten und routinierten Ranger geführt. Verglichen mit den zwei Mal zweieinhalb Stunden die wir unterwegs gewesen waren, sahen wir wenig Tiere. Das Wissen war bescheiden, aber er bemühte sich sehr. Das Essen war gut, die Organisation desselben etwas locker. Keines der Buffet war zur angegebenen Zeit ready - jedesmal mussten die Gäste mindestens eine Viertelstunde darauf warten, dass alles aufgebaut war. Das Personal war immer freundlich und alles war sehr sauber. Dennoch würden wir nicht noch einmal hinreisen.

We enjoyed our stay, but expected 4-star accommodation & 4-star meals. The room was good, but nothing special. We needed a room reallocation as the toilet was blocked in the first room we were given. The food menu and drinks selection were inadequate and poor quality for a 4-star setup. Disappointing for the cost.
