FRONT DOOR ACCESS is a Deslok C-100 electronic keypad. You'll have the code upon booking. I have wireless access to lock or unlock, etc. I hid a key if the internet fails. Call me anytime. 435-232-1307

ONE STORY HOME The only elevation is a 4-in step up the front porch. As a new home, my front door is 36 in wide.

PARKING Is plentiful. My flat driveway is 42 ft long, 6 cars. No homes across the public street, 250 ft of street parking with nobody ever there, and a 30-ft common area before the houses up the hill. Do not park to the right of the common area sidewalk just to the right of my home. Please be quiet as you enter and exit both your car and my home, for the privacy and quiet of my good neighbors. MY LIONEL TRAINS are on the walls. Brenham was founded as a train town. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe BNSF runs through Brenham. Like most of my furniture and decor, my Lionels are representative of Brenham and Washington County. Washington on the Brazos is nearby, where Texas began. So much Texas history in Brenham and Washington County. Please be inspired.

INSIDE

INTERNET AT&T fast fiber optic cable runs from the street to my house. The ATT wireless router is next to the TV, with the password on the back. I also name it in this post.

KITCHEN is large and well equipped, a chef's delight. Lots of Kitchen Staples : Coffee, tea, half n half etc. See pantry pics of 100+ items. The kitchen island is big, the heart of the home. Small appliances include a Foreman grill, large Dutch oven, quesadilla maker, 2 crock pots, full size Cuisinart type blender, std coffee maker and Ninja coffee machine, coffee bean grinder with coffee and beans on the fridge door, waffle maker, blender, salad spinner and serving bowls, toaster, new set of of non-stick cookware, All new cutlery and knife block set, set of 3 heavy glass mixing bowls, 3 wine bottles near entry... Welcome! .. bottle openers, spaghetti strainers (and spaghetti), shredder, pizza pan, Even a pancake Grill made of Corning glass from the past. Most cooking tools are hung beside the range. 50 coffee mugs to the left of the fridge, lots of serving items, to carryil food to the back deck, more.

GLASSWARE is in the upper cabinets to the right and left of the microwave : Tumblers, 30 + wine glasses, larger drinking glasses, shot glasses, 50 coffee mugs for fun.

DISHES are on the right side, to the left of the fridge. I've also put many dishes out.. Select your beautiful dinner plate. Lots of paper plates, upper cabinet.

BEDROOMS 1 King and 3 queens and a queen sofa sleeper in LR. Bedrooms have white roll-up shades and USB female cell charger cords on the nightstand, no fishing for electrical outlets. All beds have mattress covers, 100% cotton 300 count fitted and cover sheet, white comforter on top. All bedding is white. On the king and 3 queens are beige waffle cotton throws, Flat surface at foot of each bed for luggage. Except for garage furniture and 2 new queens, all furniture and Decor is from our Faith Mission Thrift in Brenham, USA made pieces of quality and craftsmanship from times past.

GARAGE serves as a an additional casual living space. AC and heated with two garage units. On demand gas hot water heater in NW corner that serves house and the back showers. I set temp to 130 F. Small fridge and TV and 2 couches. 3 spare folding chairs, electric car battery starter, electric tire pump.

2 FULL BATHROOMS INSIDE, including the master bath. Inadequate I know, so I had 2 outside showers built on the back deck .. hot and cold water.. with spectacular views of Texas Hill Country as you shower. Please use the biodegradable soap there.

BACK DECK AND STONE PATIO is 500 sq ft that seats 42 at 7 dinner tables. The 4 canopies above shield you from the sun's rays. USA and Texas flags hang off the back rail facing north, stored in the deck closet across from the master bedroom entry. If you fly them, please remember to put them back on exit. 2 solar lights in the back yard are for nighttime flag etiquette.

4-PERSON HOT TUB and two 24 ft long steps lead down to the back lawn for more seating. Please shower rinse before entering the spa, for water purity. Thanks.

BBQ KING 15+ BBQ utensils hang around the large Kitchen Aid propane grill. 2 red white and blue coolers underneath to the left, and a small microwave for safety, to make sure any frozen food is cooked through. No bacteria.

INSIDE BACK DECK CLOSET is across from master bedroom entry: Vacuum and cordless handheld vacuum, Swiffer, tools If you need any, 2 blow up swimming pools with a pump and an electric balloon inflator on the top shelf, 2 expansion leafs for the big middle table on the deck, yellow light bulbs and lamps that do not attract bugs. If you use the 2 leafs, please put them back in this deck closet when you exit. To use the leafs, 1st unscrew the vertical 1x2 that supports the canopy in the middle, screwed into the back of that table. There's an electric screw driver in the same deck closet, in the hanging door pocket.

PRIVACY makes my home unique. To the right, from the street, is a 40 ft common area with a sidewalk down to the park below my back lawn, with the kids big gym playground to the right. Across the street, Lake Ridge Drive, there's 30 more feet of common area with no homes. It's a public street that's seldom traveled because of the dynamics of my immediate neighborhood. So guest parking and privacy is plentiful. Please do not park to the right/ East of that common area sidewalk to my right. Thank you.

I'M A GARDENER and an amateur stone mason. All of the white white limestone in the front and backyard was from a neighboring house, extra that gets thrown away. So I grab it first. In front of the left side of the garage is a wooden gardening trunk with potting soil and garden soil and bark, mulch and manure. I added 2 K2 sprinkler heads to irrigate the 3-ft cedar planter at the base of my yard, and to better irrigate the Texas Sage out front.

QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD Vintage Farms is a tight knit community with good neighbors. At the suggestion of VRBO, I've spoken with 5+ neighbors who are fine with my event home. They have my cell to call me if there's noise. Please respect their privacy, especially as you exit and enter the house to and from your car. No parties other than the quiet dinner kind Inside or on the back deck. No loud music, especially in the garage. That is important and a big house rule. All quiet after 9 pm.

ON EXIT Please leave my home as you found it when you arrived. Except of course the unmade beds and used baths. Be accurate in naming your # of guests.

FAITH MISSION Except for the 2 new queen beds that are all wood with no particle board, and the garage furniture I brought from my last home, I purchased all furniture and Decor from Higgins South Thrift. The beneficiary is FaithMission.us, a Brenham based non-profit who (1) successfully lends the homeless a hand up vs a handout .. many of our thrift staffers came from the street .. and (2) helps youngsters who are denied opportunity because of a difficult living environment, our SMART mission. I volunteer at Faith Mission, fundraising and landscaping. No one helps the homeless like we do.

MY HOME IS THE HOUSE OF LAMPS, 32 of them, most with Green Dots, see below. Many generous residents of Washington County donate special things to our Faith Mission thrift. Most of my furniture came from there, so most of that expenditure went to health and homeless. We are the town that gives back. Cannery Kitchen on Alamo and Faith Mission is the heart of that.

MY GOAL is to warmly welcome you and to my Brenham home, and to be a good host. So you can gather in peace and privacy to celebrate your faith, family, tradition and fond memories of times past. Simpler times when kitchen and faith were central to the home. Karla picks fresh Texas wildflowers for your arrival. Bluebonnets when in season.

EVENTS ARE WELCOME Family reunions, wedding parties and church events etc.. There is a small amphitheater in the backyard with a podium spot for your speaker, with seating on the back deck and stairs, and stone- timber flats for standing room below the steps. The 6-acre park below me and the Texas Hill Country view beyond is spectacular. On the horizon at 1 o'clock is the main house of a traditional Texas Ranch. The Texas evening skies are inspiring, forever protected. Usually there is a fine Texas breeze prevailing from the south and west. The seating on the East and the West side of my house is cooler, as the prevailing Texas winds cool both sides.

OPTIONAL GIVING Inside are many special pieces from Faith Mission's thrift. when you leave, please take 1 or 2 having round green stickers (most everything except the furniture and kitchen staples) as a remembrance of your visit to Brenham. Donate $250 or more to your favorite charity for each item you take, If the green stickum. $250 If there's no minimum price on the green stick um. There's a written price on the stickum for more expensive items like the 3 saddles.

Or donate to FaithMission.us vs your favorite charity. I volunteer there as a landscaper and a fundraiser. No one cares for the homeless like we do, imho.
